Crime Line 2/14 – 2/20

02/14/2019 Traffic Stop – Officers initiated a traffic stop on University Drive and issued a repair order for a tail light violation.

 

02/14/2019 Traffic Stop – While on patrol on Braddock Road officers observed a vehicle with an inoperable right brake lamp.  Driver was issued a repair order.

 

02/14/2019 Traffic Stop – Officers observed a vehicle exit the rear of police headquarters, travel through the parking lot, turn, and proceed east on E. College Avenue.  The rear parking lot at police headquarters is restricted to police and maintenance vehicles only.  The two entrances/exits are controlled by ‘Do Not Enter’ signs.  A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was issued a written warning for failure to obey properly placed traffic control device. 

 

02/14/2019 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Edgewood for an odor of CDS.  Upon arrival officers were only able to a spoiled food odor.

 

02/15/2019 Parking Enforcement – Citations were issued in several lots: Diehl Lot, Old Public Safety Building, Annapolis Lot, Hitchins Lot, Brady Lot, and Cumberland Lot

 

02/15/2019 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Allen Hall for an odor of CDS.  Upon arrival officers were unable to find an odor.

 

02/16/2019 Check On Well Being – Officers responded to Annapolis Hall to check on the well-being of a male subject who was intoxicated and sick.  Upon arrival the subject spoke to officers and advised he did consume a small about of alcohol.  Subject was able to answer questions and was coherent.  The incident was submitted to the Judicial Board

 

02/16/2019 Trespassing – Officers responded to Annapolis Hall for a possible domestic complaint.  A copy of the report was sent to the Student Judicial Board for further review.

 

02/16/2019 Traffic Stop – While on patrol at University Drive, Officers initiated a traffic stop for a defective left headlight.  An ETIX warning was issued.

 

02/17/2019 Request for Officer – Allegany Dispatch requested an officer to Edgewood for a male subject who was extremely intoxicated, violent and making suicidal threats.  J-Board report sent.

 

02/17/2019 Request for Officer – Officers responded back to Edgewood for the male intoxicated subject who was confrontational because he was wanting to leave. Officers were informed that the parents of the individual were in-route hoping to take the subject  home for the night.  Follow up with Edgewood staff on Monday 2/18.

 

02/17/2019 CDS – Officers responded to Frederick Hall for a possible odor of CDS.  Upon arrival, a moderate odor of burnt marijuana could be detected.  Officers determined that the odor was emitting from a room on the 2nd floor.  Judicial Board referral was submitted.

 

02/18/2019 Parking Enforcement – Annapolis Lot, 7 Citations – College Ave. Lot., 1 Citation issued.

 

02/18/2019 Request for Officer – Brady Health contacted Headquarters to report a student fell on the ice in front of Brady Health.  Subject was examined by nurse practitioner and declined transport to WMRMC.

 

02/18/2019 Trespassing – Officers were requested to Starbucks in the Lane Center for a female who has a PNG order from FSU and was seen threatening another student.  Officers were unable to locate the student.

 

02/18/2019 Request for Officer – Subject contacted Headquarters to report being threatened on University Drive.  After Officers spoke with the complainant, officers visited Edgewood commons to speak with the individuals involved in the incident.  Investigation continuing.

 

02/18/2019 Request for Officer –Officers responded to Brady Health to speak with the student who had fallen in the ice near the library.  Abrasions and small cuts were present upon evaluation.  Subject declined transport to WMRMC.

 

02/18/2019 Request for Officer – Officers spoke to a complainant at Headquarters regarding an ex-boyfriend leaving gifts that she had originally given to him, on her vehicle.  Subject has not attempted to contact the complainant nor threatened her.  There was no damage to the vehicle.  Contact was made with the ex-boyfriend.  He advised he had nothing further to give back to the female and no further contact would be made.  Title IX and Student Affairs will received a copy of this report.

 

02/19/2019 Alarm –Allegany County Dispatch reported a burglary/motion alarm in lobby of S.E.R.F.  Upon arrival of officers , a window in the lobby was slightly open causing motion.  A walk-thru was performed and the building was cleared.

 

02/19/2019 Parking Enforcement – Officers issued four (4) parking citations in Annapolis Lot.

 

02/19/2019 Traffic Stops (4) – Traffic Stop were initiated on Bowery Street and University Drive.  All drivers were issued warnings for excessive speed.

 

02/20/2019 Alarm  – Officers responded to S.E.R.F. for a trouble alarm.  Officers reset the alarm.  Power was dipping due to storm.

 

02/20/2019 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Edgewood for an odor of CDS.  Upon arrival a faint odor in the hall was detected which quickly dissipated.  Contact was made with two individuals however neither rooms had an odor.
