Crime Lines 8/25/2020 – 8/31/2020

08/25/2020 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Cumberland Hall in reference to missing clothing. Upon viewing the footage through Ocularis, a white male, was observed removing clothing from the dryer and placing it in a white laundry bag, then leaving. He was contacted and explained his girlfriend had asked him to remove her laundry from the dryer and he must have taken it from the wrong one. The complainant got her laundry back. No further action was needed.

08/25/2020 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Detained 1 male Subject, not a student, in Cell #2 for FSUPD.

08/26/2020 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Assisted FPD by searching Ocularis for the subject that stole the Frostburg Police sign at the entrance to the FPD’s temporary location on University Drive. The subject was observed removing the sign and walking into Frederick Hall. Contact was made with the subject; the sign was retrieved, and charges were issued. In addition, the student was referred to the judicial board.

08/26/2020 Administrative Paper Served – An FSU Student was served with an Interim Suspension Notice from FSU Student Affairs and an FSUPD No Trespass Order.

08/26/2020 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Detained 1 male Subject, non-student in Cell #1 for FSUPD

08/26/2020 CDS – FSUPD assisted Montgomery County Police attempting to locate a wanted individual, not a student, believed to be on campus. The wanted individual was apprehended in a traffic stop near Bobcat Court. Follow up investigation resulted in the recovery of evidence and CDS located in an Edgewood Commons apartment. Charges of possession of CDS with intent to distribute were preferred by FSUPD on the student responsible, in addition the student has been referred to the judicial board.

08/27/2020 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Assisted FPD on Bowery St. at College Ave. FPD requested a female officer for a search of a wanted female.

08/28/2020 Hit & Run – Officers responded to Edgewood Commons for a possible hit and run. After speaking with the complainant, an FSU student, the Ocularis Camera System was reviewed. Officers were not able to locate any suspect vehicles hitting the complainant’s vehicle. She was notified of the findings.

08/29/2020 CDS Officers responded to Simpson Hall for an odor of CDS. As a result of the investigation four students were referred to the Student Judicial Board for review.

08/31/2020 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Assisted FPD on Main Street with a M/V Crash. Officers stood by until FPD obtained vehicle and driver information for both involved parties, as no other assistance was needed or requested.

Summary period includes 121 calls for service and no Traffic Stops.
