{"id":15448,"date":"2019-11-14T14:11:32","date_gmt":"2019-11-14T19:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thebottomlinenews.com\/?p=15448"},"modified":"2019-11-14T14:12:55","modified_gmt":"2019-11-14T19:12:55","slug":"crime-line-116-1112","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebottomlinenews.com\/crime-line-116-1112\/","title":{"rendered":"Crime Line 11\/6 &#8211; 11\/12"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/06\/2019\u00a0\u00a0 Request for Officer\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">&#8211; Officers spoke to the complainant at FUSPD who was requesting to file a harassment complaint.\u00a0 Subject received a text from an unknown person who she believed was attempting to prank her.\u00a0 The text did not qualify as harassment but the complainant was advised to contact FUSPD if she receives any other threats or continuous unwanted calls.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/06\/2019\u00a0\u00a0 Request for Officer\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Officers were dispatched to Gray Hall to make contact with a complainant regarding an assault which had previously occurred.\u00a0 Subjects advised there had been involved in an assault on 11\/02\/2019 and had just received summons from District Court and were being charged with assault by the petitioner.\u00a0 The summons was explained to both individuals and they were advised of their right to obtain counsel.\u00a0 Due to them advising that they had been in a mutual assault, Officers provided them each with a MD Crime Victims and Witnesses pamphlet and explained the contents. They were also provided the case number of the previous incident and explained where to go to pursue charges and apply for a public defender.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/08\/2019\u00a0\u00a0 DOP\u00a0<\/span><\/b><b><span lang=\"EN\">\u2013\u00a0Misdemeanor\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Officers responded to Dunkle Hall for a destruction of property.\u00a0 Housekeeping found a door that had the bottom slat\/vent portion kicked inward. A review of the Ocularis camera system was conducted but th<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">ere\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">are no camera<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">s<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">\u00a0on the second floor of Dunkle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/08\/2019\u00a0\u00a0 CDS \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Officers responded to Diehl Hall for an odor of marijuana.\u00a0 Upon arrival a mild odor was coming from the suspected room.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">A Consent to Search and Seize form was signed and dated. As a result two bottles of alcohol and CDS were located.\u00a0 The subject was issued a citation of possession of marijuana under ten grams and the alcohol was removed and destroyed per policy.\u00a0 A copy of the\u00a0report was submitted to the student judicial board for further disposition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/08\/2019\u00a0\u00a0 Fraud &#8211;\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Officers were contacted by\u00a0 a subject who r<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">esides\u00a0off campus regarding her dating profile being hacked.\u00a0\u00a0A MD Uniform Identity Fraud \/ Theft Reporting form was provided.\u00a0 An online search of the suspect phone number returned a result in PA or NY area.\u00a0 An attempt to contact the suspect phone number\u00a0resulted in a constant\u00a0busy signal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/09\/2019\u00a0 Disturbance-\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Subjects contacted headquarters for a subject yelling at them for not saying \u201cThank you \u201c for holding a door open for them at Edgewood Commons.\u00a0 The yelling escalated into the male complainants dorm room. A\u00a0 Victim&#8217;s Pamphlet was provided and the main victim of the complaint and the others were provided with District Court Rights. The ladies were advised to avoid contact with the male and to call right away should there be any issue.\u00a0 Judicial Board submitted.<b><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/09\/2019\u00a0 CDS \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Officers responded to Gray Hall for a complaint of an odor or marijuana.\u00a0 Upon arrival, officers detected the odor of burnt marijuana.\u00a0 An attempt to make contact with the resident where the odor was extremely strong, resulted with negative results.\u00a0 Report was submitted to the student judicial board for further review.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/09\/2019\u00a0 Assist Other Agency (FPD) \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">FSUPD transported to juveniles to Frostburg City Police Station at the request of FPD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/10\/2019\u00a0 Noise Complaint \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Officer responded to Cumberland Hall for a report of hearing thumping noises and yelling.\u00a0 Contact was made with three females who advised they were dancing.\u00a0 They were advised to keep the noise down.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/10\/2019\u00a0 CDS \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Officers responded to Diehl Hall for the odor of marijuana.\u00a0 A moderate odor of marijuana was detected upon arrival.\u00a0 A walk through of the building was conducted.\u00a0 There was no odor found on the second or third floor.\u00a0 A person may have entered the building and walked down the first floor hallway with the odor on their clothing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/11\/2019\u00a0\u00a0 Assist Other Agency (ACSO)\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Assisted Allegany County Sheriff\u2019s Office in attempting to locate two individuals who were involved in a theft incident from the Wal-Mart in LaVale, MD.\u00a0 Both subjects were located at Annapolis Hall.\u00a0 Student affairs will be contacted for the involvement with the theft.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/11\/2019\u00a0\u00a0 Theft \u2013 Misdemeanor \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Officers met with a subject at FSU Headquarters who reported items stolen from her vehicle.\u00a0 After a review of the Ocularis Camera System a suspect vehicle was observed near the complainants vehicle.\u00a0 The complainant was not familiar with the suspect vehicle after photos were shown to her.\u00a0 Other agencies were contacted requesting and other reported similar thefts.\u00a0 CPD had one IR with a theft of similar items.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/12\/2019\u00a0\u00a0 Damage To Property<\/span><\/b><b><span lang=\"EN\">\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Officers reported to Headquarters where they were informed of a complaint of a damage to property from a caller who advised while he was parked at his jobsite his vehicle was struck by a baseball from an athletic practice.\u00a0 Subject was not on campus at this time he was home in Morgantown West Virginia.\u00a0 Complainant advised he had photographs of the damage and dash cam video showing a baseball rolling away from the vehicle which he provided to the officer via email.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">11\/12\/2019\u00a0\u00a0 Noise Complaint \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN\">Officers responded to Dunkle Hall for a report of loud music.
