{"id":20275,"date":"2022-03-01T11:32:52","date_gmt":"2022-03-01T16:32:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thebottomlinenews.com\/?p=20275"},"modified":"2022-03-01T11:32:52","modified_gmt":"2022-03-01T16:32:52","slug":"crime-lines-02-22-2022-02-28-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebottomlinenews.com\/crime-lines-02-22-2022-02-28-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Crime Lines 02\/22\/2022 \u2013 02\/28\/2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">02\/22\/2<\/span><\/b><b>02<span data-ogsc=\"black\">2\u00a0<\/span>R<span data-ogsc=\"black\">equest For Officer \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">Officers responded to\u00a0<\/span>h<span data-ogsc=\"black\">eadquarters to speak with a FSU student who believed money was taken from his wallet after leaving it unattended<\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"black\">After reviewing the camera footage in the complainant\u2019s presence, the complainant stated that he did not believe the female took any money from his wallet and that he may have been mistaken.\u00a0 Contact was also made with the female who did pick up the wallet and return it to him.\u00a0 She advised she looked inside for the ID<\/span>,<span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0but did not take any money from the wallet.\u00a0 The complainant was instructed to be more mindful of his personal property and not leave any possession<\/span>s<span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0left unattended.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">02\/23\/2022\u00a0 Request For Officer \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">Officers responded to Edgewood for a student stuck in the elevator.\u00a0 Subject was released.\u00a0 Medical was not needed. \u00a0<b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">02\/23\/2022\u00a0 Request For Officer<\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0<b>\u2013<\/b>\u00a0Officers responded to\u00a0<\/span>h<span data-ogsc=\"black\">eadquarters to speak with a FSU student reporting being the victim of financial fraud from answering an email about a job offer.\u00a0 The fraud hack involved (2) two other FSU students who immediately changed their passwords and contacted the help desk to advise.\u00a0 The initial complainant is in contact with her bank who is conducting an investigation. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">02\/23\/2022\u00a0 Request For Officer \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">An employee who assists in the usage of FSU fleet vehicles contacted\u00a0<\/span>h<span data-ogsc=\"black\">eadquarters to\u00a0<\/span>report<span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0a state vehicle was returned with damage and the proper notification was not made.\u00a0 Observed was damage to the front passenger side quarter panel in between the tire and headlight<\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"black\">The damage contained yellow paint transfer. There was also damage to the rear bumper.\u00a0 Contact was made with the FSU employee, last known driver, who stated she possibly could have struck a parking marker pole but was unsure.\u00a0 The FSU employee came to\u00a0<\/span>h<span data-ogsc=\"black\">eadquarters and completed a FSU Motor Vehicle Accident Investigation Form. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">02\/23\/2022\u00a0 Request For Officer \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">Officers responded to Brady Health for a student that became belligerent when told he could not receive an x-ray from the Brady Health Cent<\/span>er<span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0for a leg injury<\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"black\">Officers made contact with\u00a0the subject behind Brady<\/span>\u00a0Health<span data-ogsc=\"black\">.\u00a0 An ambulance was requested to transport the subject to UPMC.\u00a0 Officers spoke with Brady\u00a0<\/span>Health\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"black\">employees who stated the FSU student had been coming into Brady<\/span>\u00a0Health<span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0frequently over the past few days.\u00a0 Due to his erratic behavior, the employees felt unsafe and contacted FSUPD.\u00a0 Judicial Board Referral Submitted.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_xxmsonormal\"><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">02\/23\/2022\u00a0 CDS \u2013 \u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">Officers responded to a complaint of a hand-to-hand drug transaction.\u00a0 Through investigative measures they completed follow-ups and identified\u00a0<\/span>an\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"black\">individual, a FSU student.\u00a0 Searches conducted; paraphernalia recovered.\u00a0 Judicial referral completed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">02\/24\/2022 Recovered Property \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">A FSU student came into\u00a0<\/span>h<span data-ogsc=\"black\">eadquarters to advise he lost money.\u00a0 He was unsure if it was lost, stolen, or if there was a malfunction with the ATM.\u00a0 He stated he counted his money near the trash can, adjacent to the ATM.\u00a0 Officers were able to locate the missing money in the trash can at the Lane Center.\u00a0 Money was returned to the subject. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">02\/24\/2022 Narcotics Complaint \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">Officers responded to Westminster Hall for a reported smell of marijuana.\u00a0 Contact was made with the occupants of the room where a strong odor was emitting from.\u00a0 Four (4) FSU students appeared to have bloodshot eyes.\u00a0 The room was filled with smoke and a strong odor of burnt marijuana was present.\u00a0 The individuals were advised that Judicial Board Referrals would be submitted.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">02\/25\/2022\u00a0 Narcotics Complaint \u2013 <\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">Officers responded to Westminster Hall for a complaint of an odor of marijuana.\u00a0 Three (3) FSU students and one (1) non-student occupied the room involved.\u00a0 All denied smoking in the room where there was a strong odor.\u00a0 Judicial Board Referral submitted.<b>\u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">02\/25\/2022\u00a0 Request for Officer \u2013<\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0Officers met with a FSU student who stated she is the administrator and creator of a chat room which is an instant messaging and digital distribution platform.\u00a0 The complainant is having issues with another in the chatroom who is harassing her chat room members.\u00a0 Officers made contact with the possible person of interest.\u00a0 All parties involved were told to cease contact with each other.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">02\/25\/2022\u00a0 Narcotics Complaint<\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\"> <b>\u2013<\/b> Officers responded to Simpson Hall for an odor of marijuana from a female in the first-floor lounge.\u00a0 The female was gone on arrival. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">02\/25\/2022\u00a0 Narcotics Complaint \u2013<\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">\u00a0Officers responded to Gray Hall, basement area, for a report of an odor of CDS.\u00a0 Contact was made with the individual of the room in question who advised that\u00a0he does smoke marijuana, but only off campus, never in the dorm, and that he brings the roaches back because he does not want to litter.\u00a0 He was advised to clean his room and dispose of the burnt-out wrappers into the trash. \u00a0No CDS was located. \u00a0The incident was referred to the Judicial Board. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">02\/26\/2022\u00a0 Damage To Property \u2013<\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">\u00a0Officers responded to FSUPD for a student reporting damage to his vehicle while it was parked in the Lowndes Lot.\u00a0 Two suspect vehicles were identified through the Ocularis Camera System.\u00a0 Officers conducted a patrol of the lots and off-campus housing area with negative results.\u00a0 Investigations are continuing. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">02\/28\/2022\u00a0 Assist Other Agency (FPD) \u2013 <\/span><\/b><span data-ogsc=\"black\">W<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">hile monitoring radio traffic, officers heard an overdose at Bobcat\u00a0Court and responded.\u00a0 Upon arrival 3 FPD Units and an EMS unit was on scene.\u00a0 Officers were advised that the subject who overdosed is not an FSU student, and no assistance was needed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary period includes 120 calls for service and 3 traffic
