Homecoming Weekend Game for Field Hockey

Homecoming weekend involves celebrating with friends, family, and sports at Frostburg State University (FSU). As all the fall sports teams make their way through the game schedule, field hockey got to start off the day against Mansfield.

Starting off the first period, two fouls against Mansfield were called and Frostburg senior, Taylor Hackett, took the first shot on goal. The Bobcats held most of the domination over the first period as Taylor Hackett took another shot a few minutes later off of a corner by junior, Emily Hughes. By the second period, Mansfield began to take more shots with FSU having multiple saves made by Frostburg’s goal keeper Madison Manalansan. A few minutes into the third period, Mansfield’s Kenedy Stroup made the first goal in the game against the Bobcats. Frostburg kept up the intensity by taking more shots and looking to play aggressive. However, by period four Mansfield was able to get another goal. Frostburg’s Taylor Hackett and Olivia Wenzel kept looking for more opportunities yet were unsuccessful.

The game ended with Mansfield winning with a score of two to zero.

The Lady Bobcats play again at home against Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
