Alleged Abusive Behavior of FSU Student Surfaces on Twitter

Because of pending investigations by both law enforcement and Frostburg State University, the student in question will not be named.

In the early hours of June 19, 2020, a screenshot from Facebook of a Frostburg State student’s license and Cheerleading Roster information surfaced on Twitter. The Facebook post was posted in the “Childcare around Baltimore County” group and is written by a mother who employed the student.

“If you see this nanny or babysitter do not hire her!!,” the post begins. “Just finished filing a police report against her. Caught her on camera yanking my 10 month old baby’s arms, grabbing his face and yanking his head back hard where he holds his breath and screams to yell at him for taking a toy.” The mother alleges that the abusive actions of the student were captured through home video surveillance. The student allegedly is heard on the footage saying, “Stop trying to eat my hand or I’ll punch you in the face.” According to the post, she is also seen pulling the infant up by his wrists and shaking him after he grabs her hair. The video footage is not attached to the original post.

In response to the tweet made by another FSU student, the official Frostburg State twitter replied, “This matter was reported to the appropriate people last night. An investigation has already started regarding the allegations.” At the time of publication, the original tweet had received 718 retweets and 490 likes.

This is a developing story.
