Another Win for Women’s Soccer
The Women’s soccer team played Wednesday October 20th. The Bobcats played at West Liberty and ended the game with a score of 3-1. This brings the Bobcats win streak to 6, and their record to 10-2-1. Goals were scored by Alexis Pate, Caroline Burton, and Mackenzie Alonso.
Alexis Pate scored the first goal early on in the game. Pate got the ball and took a left footed shot that landed perfectly in the corner. Unfortunately for the Bobcats, a mistake was made in allowing West Liberty to equalize the game.
Caroline Burton scored the next goal. The ball was bouncing around West Liberty’s box when Burton hit the ball in the back of the net. Not even five minutes later, Keeley Knots ran down a ball passed from midfield. She turned and beat her player and crossed the ball into the box to Mackenzie Alonso. Alonso took a controlling touch and ultimately shot and scored.
The Bobcats have a long road trip to Notre Dame of Ohio next. Notre Dame was the only team the Bobcats have tied during this season. The game will be Sunday October 24th at 3 PM.
