Crime 9/11 – 9/17

09/11/2019  Disturbance – Officers responded to the fourth floor Edgewood Commons for a disturbance between a boyfriend girlfriend. As a result of the investigation a J-board referral was submitted on the parties.

 

09/12/2019  Knock and Talk – Officers contacted residents at an address in the city who were advising an “all you can drink” party on  Sunday.  Had a nice talk about safety, do’s, do not’s, laws and ordinances.

 

09/12/2019 – Request for Officer  –   An RA from Westminster had the opportunity to be outside Allen Hall when she heard a male yelling and cursing.  Officers were unable to determine the source.

 

09/12/2019  Emergency Blue Light Activation –  Dispatch received an Emergency Blue Light phone call from the Edgewood Commons Entrance.  Officer responded to location and everything around area appeared to be ok.

 

09/12/2019   Damage to Property A student was conducting a pre-checkout inspection of a state van she was about to use when she discovered there was dent in it.  Investigation continuing.

 

09/12/2019  Request for Officer –  Officers were dispatched to the 5th floor of the Ort Library to investigate writing on a whiteboard which may be construed as racist and sexist.  Officers viewed surveillance cameras and did observe a group of men writing on the board.  No immediate identification could be made at the time.  Investigation continuing.

 

09/13/2019  Traffic Arrest  – While on patrol a traffic stop was made for a vehicle traveling with no lights on.  As a result traffic citations were issued and the student driver was judicially referred.

 

09/14/2019  Assist Other Agency – Assisted FPD with a traffic Stop on University Drive, across from practice fields.  Subject was a FSU student and arrested for DUI by FPD. Report submitted to the Office of Student Affairs for judicial disposition.

 

09/14/2019  Theft – Misdemeanor – Officers were called to Annapolis Hall for a theft of a wreath that was hanging from a dorm room door and a whiteboard.  As a result of the investigation a judicial referral was made to the Dean of Students

 

09/14/2019  CDS – Officers responded to Edgewood on a noise complaint call during the investigation they recovered CDS and paraphernalia.  The four students of the room were judicially referred.

 

09/15/2019  Assist Other Agency – Assisted FPD in the area of Broadway and Main for a complaint subject who had thrown a knife at another individual.  Officers located a subject matching the suspect description.  Subject was placed into custody without incident and transported to FPD.  Subject is not an FSU student.

 

09/15/2019  Assist Other Agency – Officers assisted FPD in the area of Center Street with a report of gunshots.  Upon arrival, Officers were unable to observe any persons in the area and no signs of any suspicious activity.  Officers from FSUPD and FPD patrolled the area of Wood Street and Maple Street.  Several subjects advised they observed an airborne firework shot in the area of Center Street.

 

09/16/2019  Suspicious  –  A female subject came into Headquarters to report she was assaulted in the Edgewood Parking Lot.  She reported being attacked twice in the parking lot supplying specific times and dates.  Upon interview and careful review of the Ocularis system, Officers were unable to locate anyone in the vicinity of the complainant or her vehicle, nor did they observe anyone interacting with her.  A search of the area was conducted with negative results.  Complainant was provided with a Maryland Crime Victims and an incident number.  Also provided was information on CAPS services.  At this time there are no suspects due to lack of physical or video evidence of the alleged incident.

 

09/16/2019  Request for Officer –  Officers responded to PE Cordts Center for a disturbance in progress.  As a result of the investigation a Judicial referral has been submitted.

 

09/16/2019  Skateboard Complaint – While on patrol on University Drive, officers observed a male riding on a skateboard at a high rate of speed. Upon making contact, Officers advised that skateboards are not permitted anywhere in the city of Frostburg.  Subject agreed to comply with the city ordinance and continued on his way.

 

09/17/2019  Trespassing  – While patrolling the construction site area at the new dorm, two individuals were observed in the area.   After being questioned as to why the subjects were in the fenced in area, Officers warned of the danger and informed them the incident would be referred to the Judicial Board for review.

 

09/17/2019  Request for Officer – Officers responded to Annapolis Hall at the request of RLO to retrieve a steak knife due to a roommate dispute.

 

Summary period includes 176 calls for service and 10 traffic stops
