8/31/17 Request for Officer: Officers responded to the front of the Cordts PE Center for a suspicious person hiding behind the trash can. Officers conducted a patrol around the entire building and found no suspicious persons.
8/31/17 Drug Law Violation: While conducting a traffic stop of a Hyundai for traveling the wrong way on Center St., officers detected an odor of marijuana. As a result of the stop, the driver, a non-student, was issued a traffic citation for driving the wrong way on a one way street and a civil citation for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams.
8/31/17 Assist Other Agency: Officers assisted the Frostburg City Police with a traffic accident on Center @ Wood St., Frostburg.
8/31/17 Community Policing: Officers spoke with several individuals about responsible drinking while tailgating in the Stadium parking lot.
8/31/17 Counterfeiting: A Chartwell employee reported she was working the concessions at the FSU football game, when a male wearing a white FSU t- shirt tried to use a counterfeit $10.00 bill to obtain food. The investigation is continuing.
8/31/17 Community Policing: Officers spoke to a group of female students (10) passing by the University Police building who were heading into Frostburg City about being safe.
9/1/17 Theft: FSU student reported her wallet was taken while attending a performance in the Lane Center. The investigation is continuing.
9/1/17 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to the 2nd floor of Cumberland Hall for an odor of marijuana. The call was unfounded.
9/1/17 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to Cumberland Hall, for a report of an odor of possible marijuana. As a result of the investigation five students were advised that they would be referred to the judicial board for possible sanctions.
9/1/17 Assist Other Agency: Officers were dispatched to the area of the F-Bar, Bowery St., Frostburg, for a report of a disturbance in progress. Patrol checks were conducted in the area with no disturbance was located, officers also spoke with several individuals who had not heard or seen anyone fighting.
9/1/17 Check on Well Being: Officers observed a male subject seated and slumped over on a bench at the rear of the Veteran’s Center. The subject was determined to be intoxicated and was referred to the Judicial Board.
9/2/17 Request for Officer: Officers were dispatched to Cumberland Hall for a report of an odor of marijuana in the 2nd floor center wing. Officers responded and detected an extremely faint odor of possible marijuana. They conducted a search of the area with negative results for the source of the odor.
9/3/17 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to Diehl Hall for a complaint for an odor of marijuana. As a result of the investigation four students were referred to the judicial board.
9/3/17 Animal Complaint: Officers conducting a premise check of Guild Center observed an injured hawk outside of the handicapped entrance facing the upper quad. The Cooper’s Hawk was transported to Rocky Gap, where it was picked up by a representative of the Owl Moon Raptor Center, a birds of prey rehabilitation facility for treatment.
9/3/17 Community Policing: Officers conducted foot patrol in the area of Bowery, E. College Ave, and Center Street. Contact was made with Frostburg City Police.
9/3/17 Request for Officer: Officers were dispatched to quad area on the 5th floor of Frederick Hall for a report of drug and alcohol misuse. Officers searched the area and no drugs or alcohol could be detected.
9/3/17 Destruction of Property: Officers responded to Edgewood Commons, regarding a fight that occurred at that residence. A Domestic Violence Lethality assessment was completed. All of the other parties involved were advised of their options at District Court and were further advised that this incident will be sent to the J-Board for review. The Title IX coordinator was notified.
9/3/17 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to Edgewood Commons in reference to an odor of marijuana. As a result of the investigation, one student was referred to the judicial board.
9/4/17 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to Frederick Hall for a report of an odor of marijuana. As a result of the investigation, a judicial referral was submitted.
9/4/17 Liquor Law Violation: Officers travelling north bound on University Drive observed two male subjects walking southbound along University Drive near Annapolis Hall dragging a small tree with the root ball attached. As a result of the contact, one citation was issued for underage possession of alcohol.
