Crime Line 10/10 – 10/16
10/10/2018 Damage to property – A subject backed into a motorcycle in the Police Lot. Information was exchanged by both parties for a property damage accident.
10/10/2018 Trespassing – Officers observed a subject who was not to be on the Property of Frostburg State University and was on suspension. The office of Student Affairs was advised and the subject was criminally charged
10/10/2018 Disorderly Conduct – While working at the school crossing the officer heard offensive yelling from Beall Street. The officer responded to Beall Street to speak with the resident about the offensive content of what he was yelling. He was also was referred to the University for Judicial action.
10/10/2018 CDS – Officers responded to Frederick Hall for an odor on CDS. Upon arrival the odor of marihuana was present but the source could not be located.
10/11/2018 Request for Officer – During a fire inspection a knife was located in a Frederick Hall room. The owner of the knife was unaware of campus policy regarding knives. The incident was referred to the judicial process.
10/11/2018 Damage to Property – Subject came to Headquarters to report that her vehicle was possibly hit on campus in the Library Lot. A case was generated and the number of the incident was given to the complainant for insurance purposes.
10/11/2018 Noise Complaint – Officers responded to Cumberland Hall for a noise complaint on second the floor. After making contact with two different rooms, both parties complied and turned down the music.
10/11/2018– Fraud- Subject advised a male subject was blackmailing her for money through a chat room. Case referred to C3I for further investigation.
10/12/2018 – CDS – Officers responded to Frederick Hall for a CDS odor complaint. As a result of the investigation the case has been referred to the judicial board.
10/12/2018 – CDS – Officers responded to Westminster after an RA reported finding a homemade bong (smoking device) during a Health and Fire Safety Inspection. Residents were not present at the time. Judicial Board referral.
10/13/2018 – Request for Officer – Officers responded to Frederick Hall for an odor of marijuana, Officers checked the area in question, however were unable to locate the source.
10/13/2018 – Assist Other Agency – Assisted City Police on a traffic stop at the intersection of Center Street and American Avenue.
10/13/2018 – Assist Other Agency – Officers assisted Frostburg City Police with a large unattended fire on Center Street. The fire was put out by a male subject at the house.
10/13/2018 – Destruction of Property – Tour Engineer contacted Headquarters to report a sink had been ripped off the wall in Diehl Hall. Appropriate action was taken to fix the sink.
10/13/2018 – Assist Other Agency – Assisted FPD with a traffic stop on Wood Street.
10/14/2018 – Assist Other Agency – Wood Street. Possible disturbance in progress. Upon arrival officers did not observe a fight in progress. Officers remained on scene until a large party dispersed.
10/14/2018 – Bicycle Complaint – Anonymous caller advised of student on their bicycles jumping steps. Subjects were advised that performing tricks and jumping obstacles was not permitted and subjects left the area.
10/16/18 Fire: Officers responded to the food court in the Lane Center for burnt food on a grill. FSU Tour Engineer was contacted. All grills were turned off and there was no longer any fire hazard present.
10/16/18 Information: FSU employee reported an Adirondack chair missing from the upper quad area.
10/16/18 Assault – Domestic: Frostburg City Police requested assistance on Beall Street for a domestic violence incident. An application for a statement of charges was completed.
10/16/18 Assist Other Agency: Officers were advised to assist allied agencies with searching for a black male wearing a red shirt with a gun in his waistband. The male subject had fled from the Narcotics Task Force who were executing a search warrant on Maple St. The suspect was last seen running down Wood Street towards College Avenue in Frostburg. Several Officers began canvassing the area and a Burg alert was quickly transmitted. Trooper 5 was in the air searching for the armed suspect and K9 units were also out conducting tracks in the area. During the incident allied agencies made an arrest on an individual for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and another individual was arrested on a warrant.
10/16/18 Information: Frostburg City Police requested officers to be on the look-out for a missing 14 year old male, last seen wearing dark blue sweat shirt and white shorts.
