10/17/18 Request for Officer: An FSU Instructor reported three disruptive students in his 1st floor classroom in the Guild Center. One student was referred to the Judicial Board.
10/17/18 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to a 2nd floor residence in Edgewood Commons for a reported case of CDS during a Fire Safety Inspection. As a result of the investigation a judicial referral has been submitted.
10/17/18 Weapons Complaint: Officers were dispatched to Edgewood Commons at the request of an RA for a sword and two knives found inside a room during a Fire Safety Inspection. As a result of the investigation a judicial referral was submitted.
10/17/18 Noise Complaint: Officers responded to a 2nd floor residence in Cumberland Hall for a noise complaint. Upon arrival, officers could hear loud music. Contact was made with the resident who cooperative and turned down the music.
10/17/18 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to Westminster Hall for a CDS complaint. Investigation revealed a strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected by an exit door. The responsible parties could not be located.
10/17/18 Request for Officer: Officers are investigating a report of a 2nd floor resident in Edgewood Commons having a gun. The individual was identified and permitted a search of his room, no weapons could be located.
10/17/18 Breaking & Entering: Officers are investigating a theft that was reported by a 2nd Floor Sowers Hall student.
10/18/2018– Check on Well Being – Officers responded to the PE Center to check on well-being of a female after receiving a call from her mother. The mother stated she received call from a Mexican man stating he had her daughter and would do harm to her. Female was ok and made contact with her parent. This is a common scam scenario.
10/18/2018– Hit and Run – Subject came into HQ to file a report of hit and run involving his vehicle in the Edgewood Lot. Further investigation is ongoing.
10/18/2018– Weapons Complaint – Officers were dispatched to Edgewood Commons at the request of a RA for a knife found inside a room during a Fire Safety inspection. Complainant stated he observed a knife. A judicial referral was submitted.
10/18/2018– Assault – A female subject arrived at FSU Headquarters to report being assaulted and harassed by her roommate. As a result of the investigation a judicial board referral was submitted.
10/19/2018 Request for officer – Officers were called to Dunkle Hall for a student who was disrupting class. The professor referred the student to the Judicial Board.
10/19/2018 Assist other Agency – FSUPD assisted Sheriff Office as back up with a traffic stop on Wood Street.
10/19/2018 Assist other Agency – Assisted FPD with a noise complaint on Broadway by providing assistance with dispersing a large crowd.
10/20/2018 Knock and Talk- Officers spoke to students regarding underage drinking and open containers on Wood Street.
10/20/2018 Assist other Agency – FUSPD assisted with an attempt to locate a vehicle reference a theft.
10/20/2018 Disturbance – While on patrol an officer overheard a female threaten another female. Contact was made with the females and they were instructed to separate for the evening.
10/21/2018 Assist Other Agency – Officers assisted FPD on Welsh Hill with a noise complaint.
10/21/2018– Traffic Stop Following a traffic stop, a strong odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted during which a trace amount of CDS was located in the vehicle. A written warning was issued to subject for the initial traffic stop violation.
10/22/2018 Traffic Arrest – A traffic stop for speeding on Braddock Road resulted in a tag pick-up order, insurance violation and suspended registration. The vehicle was towed, tags were removed and transported back to headquarters and logged into evidence. Subject was issued two citations.
10/22/2018 CDS – A traffic stop was conducted in the Annapolis Lot for a defective brake light. A probable cause search was initiated due to a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Recovered were cups with suspected marijuana residue and a set of scales. An SERO was given for the defective brake light.
