Crime Line 10/28 – 11/4

10/28/15 Noise: Officers were dispatched to Simpson Hall, on a noise complaint. The occupants complied and were quiet.

 

10/28/15 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to Cumberland Hall for a CDS complaint. Officers detected a faint odor of CDS but could not determine where it was coming from.

 

10/30/15 Open Container: Officers patrolling on Center St., Frostburg noticed a group of students in front of a Center St. home when someone in the group threw a red Solo cup on the ground. Following investigation officers issued a civil citation for possession/consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a public place.

 

10/31/15 Open Container: Officers observed a male subject carrying a Pabst Blue Ribbon beer can on Wood Street, Frostburg. Upon the male seeing the police vehicle, he placed the can to his side. Contact was made with the subject in front of 144 Wood St. He was issued a civil citation for possession/consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a public place.

 

10/31/15 Assist Other Agency: Officers were dispatched at the request of Frostburg City Police to Bobcat Court, Lower Consol Rd., Frostburg, for a reported fight in progress. They were unable to observe an altercation upon arrival. Officers conducted foot patrols of the area while the crowd present dispersed, with many of the subjects heading toward the lower dorm area of FSU. Officers conducted a vehicular patrol of the lower dorm area to make sure all subjects were safe.  Officers stood by in the area for approximately 20-30 minutes with no further issues.

 

10/31/15 Open Container: While patrolling on Bowery St., Frostburg, an officer noticed a male subject carrying a Bud Light can of beer. The subject was issued a civil citation for possession/consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a public place.

 

10/31/15 Damage to Property: Officers walking on the north side of the Guild Center noticed 2 panes of glass (1’x1′) had been broken out of a window in the basement area. Facilities notified for repair.

 

10/31/15 Theft: Officers were conducted by the taxi driver for the Yellow Cab, Cumberland, Maryland, in reference to failure to pay a taxi fare. The investigation is continuing.

 

10/31/15 Noise Complaint: Officers responded to Simpson Hall for a noise complaint. Contact as made with two residents who instructed them to keep the noise down inside of their room.

 

11/1/15 Liquor Law Violation: Officers responded to Diehl Hall for a report of an intoxicated male subject.  On civil citation was issued for underage possession of an alcoholic beverage. Judicial Board Referral submitted.

 

11/1/15 Disturbance: While patrolling the area of College Avenue, Frostburg, officers were advised by the Frostburg City Police of a large disturbance in the area of Maple and Stoyer Street. Upon arrival, officers observed a large crowd of people forming on Maple Street in the area of 164 Maple. At that time, Dispatch notified that there was a fight in progress in front of 164 Maple Street. Due to the large crowd, officers were unable to observe a fight from their position and began to disperse the crowd. Other FSUPD and FPD units arrived on scene to disperse the crowd. Officers were unable to observe any fights or identify any possible suspects. The crowd was dispersed without incident.

 

10/1/15 Knock & Talk: Officers spoke with the residents on Maple Street, Frostburg.

 

11/1/15 Disturbance: Frostburg City Police reported a fight in process in the Frost parking lot. Officers responded to the area and discovered the subjects were gone on arrival.

 

11/1/15 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to Maple & Aspinal Street, Frostburg to assist the Frostburg City Police with a report of a fight in progress. Upon arrival, officers discovered the subjects were gone from the area.

 

11/1/15 Liquor Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to the Lowndes parking lot for an intoxicated person. The subject was identified to be underage age and was issued a civil citation for underage consumption alcohol.  Judicial Board referral submitted.

 

11/1/15 Jane Doe: WMRMC contacted the police and requested a case number for a Jane Doe sexual assault incident.

 

11/1/15 Tampering W/Fire Equipment: Officers were dispatched to Westminster Hall for a report of fire extinguishers which had been tampered with.

  

11/1/15 Assist Other Agency: Frostburg City Police requested assistance of attempting to locate a vehicle involved in a burglary on Wood Street, Frostburg. FSUPD Officers located the vehicle that matched the description that was given and notified Frostburg City Police.

 

11/1/15 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to Annapolis Hall for a report of a CDS smell. As a result of the investigation a Judicial Board referral was submitted.

 

11/1/15 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to Cumberland Hal for a possible CDS call. As a result of the investigation a Judicial Board referral was submitted.

 

11/2/15 Skateboard Complaint: While on patrol, officers observed a female subject riding a longboard on the roadway between Frederick and Cumberland Halls. Contact was made with the subject who was advised that longboarding and/or skateboarding of any kind are prohibited on the F.S.U. campus.

 

11/2/15 Drug Law Violation: Officers observed two individuals attempting to gain access (utilizing a coat hanger) into a white 1999 Jeep Cherokee that was parked in the Gray Lot. As result of the contact the driver was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana, less than 10 grams and released from the scene.

 

11/2/15 Traffic Accident: Officers responded to the Center Street parking lot for a motor vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.

 

11/2/15 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to Edgewood Commons for a report of CDS paraphernalia. As a result of the investigation a Judicial Board referral was submitted.

 

11/3/15 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to Frederick Hal for a report of an odor of marijuana.  As a result of the investigation a Judicial Board Referral was submitted.

 

 

11/3/15 Information: The FSU Alumni Relations & Events Specialist reported a person displaying disturbing behavior recently in her office, located in the Lyric Building, 20 E. Main Street, Frostburg.

 

11/3/15 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to Edgewood Commons for a reported odor of marijuana. Officers detected the odor of burnt marijuana, but were unable to determine the point of origin.

 

11/3/15 Request for Officer: Officers responded to Frost Hall for a CDS complaint. Officers could not detect an odor of marijuana.

 

11/3/15 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to Bobcat Court for a noise complaint at the request of Frostburg City Police Dept. Upon arrival, contact was made with the Frostburg City Police who were already on scene. FSUPD officers provide back up for Frostburg City Police until they finished speaking with the residents.

 

11/4/15 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to the Center Street parking lot for a suspicious subject that matched the description that broadcast by Frostburg City Police for a disturbance in progress call. As a result of the investigation the subject was transported to WMRMC for further evaluation of his mental status.
