Crime Line 10/30 – 11/6
10/30/2019 CDS: Officers were dispatched to Edgewood Commons for a report of CDS paraphernalia found while conducting fire and safety inspections. As a result of the investigation a judicial referral was submitted.
10/31/19 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to Baker Street, Frostburg, to assist Frostburg City Police with a reported Domestic Assault. No students were involved and no other police action was taken by FSUPD.
10/31/19 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to the 5th floor of Frederick Hall to assist Frostburg City Police with reported assault that took place on Bowery Street, Frostburg. Officers stood by while Frostburg City Police conducted their investigation.
11/2/19 Assist Other Agency: Officers assisted the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop on College Ave. @ Center St., Frostburg. No other action taken by this department.
11/2/19 Assault: Officers responded to the 2nd floor of Allen Hall for a fight in progress. As a result of the investigation all parties involved were instructed to have no further contact. A judicial referral has been submitted.
11/2/19 Request for Officer: On Saturday, November 1, 2019 at approximately 2248 Hours, while working the ‘Megan Thee Stallion’ concert, officers were contacted by the Lane Center Director, requesting an officer remove a disorderly female student from the building. Judicial referral was submitted as a result.
11/2/19 Disorderly Conduct: Officers assigned to the Frostburg State University football game observed a student entering the stadium with a dog, as dogs are prohibited in the area she was informed that she could not enter with the dog. During this interaction other students with her became disorderly. As a result of the interaction a judicial board referral was submitted.
11/2/19 Assault: Officers were dispatched to Chesapeake Hall for a disturbance. As a result of the investigation the District Court Rights to file for assault charges were explained to all parties and a judicial board referral was submitted.
11/2/19 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to the 2nd floor of Sowers Hall for CDS smell. Upon arrival, officers checked the floor and could not detect the odor of marijuana from any of the two rooms reported. The odor was detected throughout the hallway, but could not be detected in any specific area.
11/4/19 Destruction of Property: An FSU student reported her ex-boyfriend, also a FSU student, broke the driver’s side mirror on her 2008 Honda Accord. The case was forwarded to the university’s Title IX Coordinator.
11/4/19 Hit & Run: An FSU Student reported her vehicle had been damaged while parked on the library lot.
11/05/2019 CDS – Officers responded to Frederick Hall for an odor of CDS. Upon arrival, officers did not detect the odor of marijuana however they were informed regarding an unknown female sleeping on the floor. The female, believed to be a Frederick Hall resident, left before officers arrived and remains unidentified. Additionally officers were advised of an argument between two students related to the situation. Both of those subjects were advised of their District Court rights, and all subjects were advised to cease any contact. Upon leaving, officers updated the RA; the RA advised she would forward her report to the RLO.
11/06/2019 Fraud – Officers made contact with the complainant/victim who advised that she was being accused by family members of defrauding a member of their local church. Investigation revealed that funds were fraudulently deposited into the complainants account. Due to the funds being returned to their rightful owner and other relevant circumstances the complainant completed a Maryland Identity Fraud /Theft Uniform Report. As the fraudulently deposited funds were transferred back to the original account from the complainants, the closure of the complainants account, the subsequent lack of new accounts being opened in complainant’s name, and the difficulties involved with pursuing these types of cases without sufficient suspect information or evidence, the case is suspended.
Summary period includes 172 calls for service and 14 traffic stops
