Crime Line 10/9 – 10/15

10/09/2019 Theft – Misdemeanor – Officers are investigating two Adirondack chairs stolen from the Upper Quad.  As a result of the investigation one responsible individual has been identified and one chair has been returned.  The responsible party has been referred to the Judicial Board. The investigation is continuing.

 

10/09/2019 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Annapolis Hall for a report of an unauthorized student in the building. Officers were not able to locate the individual.

 

10/09/2019 Suspicious – Headquarters was contacted reference a car alarm going off and two subjects in the car.  Contact was made by the officers who determined the subjects were waiting for a friend.  Both subjects were released after warrant checks were performed.

 

10/09/2019 CDS – Officers responded to Westminster Hall for a report of CDS.  As a result of the investigation paraphernalia was confiscated.  A Judicial Board referral was submitted.

 

10/10/19 Assist Other Agency: FSUPD Officers along with the Frostburg City Police were dispatched to the area of Center Street and College Avenue for the report of a group of approximately eight males knocking trash cans over and spreading trash throughout the street.  Following a search of the area, units were unable to locate any suspects.

 

10/10/19 Alarm: Officers responded to Annapolis Hall, for a trouble alarm. A check of the panel indicated a trouble signal which immediately corrected itself and remained in normal function ever since.

 

10/11/2019 DOP – Misdemeanor – Officers respond to the Ort Library for destruction of property in the men’s restroom.  The investigation is continuing

 

10/11/2019 Request for Officer – Officers investigated a damaged light along the walkway between Clock Tower and CCIT. Investigation revealed that the light was not damaged by destruction, however the light needed maintenance work.

 

10/12/2019 Traffic Accident – Officers were dispatched to Edgewood Lot for a report of a property damage vehicle collision.  A Frostburg State University Police Motor Vehicle Collision Information Exchange Form was completed and provided to both operators.

 

10/12/2019 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Assisted FPD on Lower Consol Road for a disturbance.  Officers conducted a walk-around of the building however were unable to see or hear any activity that would indicate a disturbance.

 

10/12/2019 Theft – Misdemeanor – Officers are investigating the theft of Apple Air Pods in CCIT on 10/11/2019.

 

10/13/2019 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers assisted FPD on Bowery Street where a male had fallen from a second story window onto the hood of a car.

 

10/13/2019 Traffic Accident – University Drive – Fine Arts Center- Officers were dispatched to University Drive at Fine Arts for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles. Minor injury was sustained by one of the drivers. No charges were issued or are pending in the incident.

 

10/13/2019 CDS – Officers responded to Frederick Hall for a report of a CDS Odor. They were not able to determine the source of the odor.

 

10/14/2019 Theft – Felony – A male subject came into headquarters to report the theft of his laptop.  The subject believes he last had the laptop in class at CCIT 397.  The Microsoft Laptop was entered into NCIC.  The investigation is continuing.

 

10/14/2019 Traffic Arrest – While patrolling on University Drive near the old Police Station, officers observed a vehicle operator, an FSU student with no seal belt on.  The driver came back suspended.  The driver was issued one citation for driving without using the seat belt and one citation for driving suspended in the State of Maryland.

 

10/14/2019 CDS – During a traffic stop on Beal Street @ Charles, a strong odor of CDS was emitting from the vehicle, as a result a probable cause search was conducted.  A small amount of CDS was recovered. None of the subjects in the vehicle were FSU students.

 

10/14/2019   Theft – Misdemeanor Officers responded to Annapolis Hall for a reported theft of a welcome mat in the shape of a $100 dollar bill.  A check of the Ocularis camera system did show a male subject taking the welcome mat. The investigation is continuing.

 

10/15 /2019 Traffic Arrest –   While conducting traffic enforcement on Oak Street @ Bowery, Officers observed the operator of the vehicle using his hands to use a handheld device while driving.  As a result of the stop the driver was issued ETIX warning for failure to display license and reg. card on demand. One citation was issued for driving a motor vehicle on highway or public use property on suspended license and privilege. The driver has also been referred to the Judicial Board.

 

10/15 /2019 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Sowers Hall for a report of an odor of CDS.  After a patrol of the floor, no odor could be detected.

 

Summary period includes 149 calls for service and 28 traffic stops
