Crime Line 11/13 – 11/19

11/13/2019   Assist Other Agency (ACSO)   Assisted Allegany Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop that revealed a suspended driver on E. College Avenue at Beall Street.  Unknown if operator was a FSU student.

11/13/2019  DOP-Misdemeanor –  Housekeeping reported damage to the wooden slats at the bottom of a door at Dunkle Hall.

11/13/2019 Criminal Summons Service For ACSO – Criminal Summons served on a student at Headquarters for Allegany County Sheriff’s Office.

11/13/2019 Check On Well-Being – Female subject came into Headquarters to report an elderly male subject near the crosswalk near Annapolis Hall who was talking to himself and looking at the ground.  Subject located inside the library.  After speaking with the subject he did not appear confused and appeared ok.

11/14/2019   Fire Alarm Officers responded to Main Street for a fire alarm activation in a building.  Units from the Frostburg Fire and Police Departments also responded.  Following an investigation, conducted by the fire department, burnt food on an appliance in the first floor of the building began to smoke, activating a fire alarm. All units cleared within approximately twenty minutes.

11/14/2019   Request for Officer Officers met with the complainant at Headquarters who advised his vehicle was stolen.  After speaking with the complaint who advised he was a visitor on campus doing research in the Ort Library.  After vehicle information was obtained and confirmed, Officers proceeded to Framptom where the vehicle was located.  An escort was provided for the complainant to his vehicle.

11/14/2019   Noise Complaint – Officers responded to Dunkle Hall for a noise complaint.  Upon arrival, loud talking could be heard coming from the second floor.  Officers requested the sound be lowered so not to disturb the academic classes that were being held in the building.  

11/14/2019   Noise Complaint – Officers returned to Dunkle for a noise complaint coming from the second floor.  Upon arrival. Officers spoke with the Vice President of the organization who was rehearsing for their event at 7pm.    He agreed to turn the music down until the event started at 7pm.  At this time all classes should be over.  Officers informed the Vice President that different arrangements for their organization may be needed in the future due to their noisy events.

11/14/2019   CDS – Officers were requested to respond to Sowers Hall for an odor of CDS.  Upon arrival, a walkthrough was conducted.  No odor detected.

11/14/2019   Assist Other Agency (ACSO) – Allegany County Dispatch requested assistance at the 34MM on West bound 68.  A female officer was requested.  A pat down was conducted on a detained female.  Nothing illegal found on her person.  Not an FSU student.

11/15/2019 Assist Other Agency (FPD) Officers responded to Braddock Road between Brady Street and University Drive to assist FPD with a deer that had been struck. The deer was removed to the shoulder of the roadway by officers.

11/15/2019  Misdemeanor Theft –Male subject came into headquarters to report a possible theft of clothing in the Cumberland Hall laundry room.  After a review of the Ocularis Camera System the subject could not be located in the room doing laundry.

11/16/2019  Alarm – Officers responded to a trouble alarm at Seven American indicating a low battery.  The Tour Engineer was notified.

11/17/2019  Noise Complaint – Officers responded to Bowery Street per request of FPD for a noise complaint.  As a result of the noise complaint an FSU student was referred to the Judicial Board.

11/17/2019  Damage to State Vehicle – Student entered FSUPD to advise she struck a curb with a State vehicle while she was driving at the intersection of Braddock Road and University Drive.

11/19/2019  Assist Other Agency (FPD) Assisted FPD in locating a subject, a non FSU student, in relation to a home invasion which had occurred in October.  Negative results.

 

Summary period includes 107 calls for service and 4 traffic stops
