Crime Line 1/30 – 2/5

1/30/2019 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Compton for a subject stuck in the elevator.  Elevator was reset and the subject was able to get out unharmed.

 

1/31/2019 CDS – Officers responded to Edgewood Commons for a reported CDS complaint.  A strong odor of marihuana was present upon entering the room.  As a result of the investigation a Judicial Board referral was submitted.

 

1/31/2019 CDS – Officers responded to Edgewood for an odor complaint in the “water closet”.  An odor of marihuana was present when the subject opened the door to the suspected apartment.  A report was submitted to the Judicial Board for review.

 

1/31/2019 Theft – Officers investigated the theft of a $50.00 bill from a compartment on the back of the victim’s phone which was located in the pool locker room.  Investigation continuing.

 

1/31/2019 CDS – Officers responded to Frederick Hall for a report of the odor of CDS.  Contact was made with the resident of the suspected room.  Officers were given consent to search the room.  As a result of the investigation a Judicial Board referral sent.

 

1/31/2019 CDS – Officers returned to Edgewood Commons for another reported smell of marijuana.  As a result of the investigation a Judicial Board Referral was sent.

 

2/01/2019 Alcohol Violation – Officers responded to Westminster for a report of intoxicated subjects possibly having an argument with the RA.  As a result of the investigation two subjects were issued Civil Citations for Underage Possession of Alcohol and were referred to the Judicial Board.

 

2/3/2019 Traffic Stop – A traffic stop was initiated on University Drive due to no illuminated lighting.  1 E-Tix warning for failure to display lighted lamps in unfavorable conditions was issued.

 

2/4/2019 Assist Other Agency – Assisted FPD on Main Street for a disturbance. Assisted by transporting one female to FPD.

 

2/04/2019 Request for Officer – Student came into Headquarters to report being scammed out of money on Facebook while attempting to purchase an Apple Watch.  After obtaining further information from the subject, it was learned that she resides off campus.  She was instructed to make an additional report with FPD.

 

 

 

2/5/2019 Animal Complaint – Officers responded to University Drive for a complaint of a dog that chased and killed a muskrat. The muskrat is considered a rodent and therefore no action was needed by DNR.

 

2/05/2019 Assault – Headquarters received a phone call from a father advising his daughter was either fighting or having problems with another student.  As a result of the investigation the involved subjects were advised of their District Court Rights and a Judicial Board Referral was submitted.

 

2/5/2019 CDS – Officers were called to Edgewood for the odor of marijuana.  Upon arrival officers were unable to locate the source of the odor.

 

2/5/2019 CDS – Officers responded to Allen Hall for the smell of marijuana on the 1st floor.  Upon arrival, contact was made with a male resident who gave officers access to his dorm room.  As a result of the investigation a Judicial Board referral was submitted.

 

Summary period includes 128 calls for service and 1 traffic stop
