Crime Line 2/15-2/20
2/15/18 Request for Officer: An FSU Student reported his backpack was possibly stolen from the Cordts PE Center. Investigation revealed the backpack was placed in the Activities for Life Office and it was returned to the student.
2/15/18 Traffic Arrest: A traffic stop was initiated on University Drive and upon making contact with the driver it was revealed the operator did not possess a driver’s license. Driver was issued a traffic citation for speeding and one for driving without a license. The driver is not an FSU student.
2/16/18 Assist Other Agency: FSUPD Officers observed two juvenile males urinating at the rear of J&S Pawn. Frostburg City Police responded and handled the investigation.
2/17/18 Noise Complaint: Officers responded to the 4th floor of Edgewood Commons for a noise complaint. No noise violation was observed.
2/17/18 Fire Alarm: Officers responded to Westminster Hall for a fire alarm activation. Investigation revealed the 5th floor smoke alarm was activated by burnt food in the kitchen area. Fire personnel arrived on the scene and deemed the area safe & allowed students to return to the building.
2/18/18 Traffic Complaint: Caller reported a black GMC Sierra speeding and driving down the middle of University Drive towards Braddock Road. Officers patrolled the area and were unable to locate the vehicle.
2/20/18 Alarm: Officers responded to the Appalachian Lab, 301 Braddock Road, Frostburg, for an unauthorized entry alarm. Upon arrival, officers determined the alarm was coming from a 2nd floor room. Contact was made with an employee inside of that room who had opened the window that triggered the alarm. No further police action taken.
2/20/18 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to Hill Street, Frostburg, to assist EMS personnel & Frostburg City Police with a male student who was riding a skateboard and crashed. Student was transported to WMRMC for treatment. Parents & Student Affairs were notified.
