Crime Line 2/19 – 2/23

2/19/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to Frederick Hall, in reference to an odor of burnt marijuana. As a result of the investigation two students were referred to the judicial board.

2/19/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers on patrol at the intersection of College Ave and Bowery St, Frostburg,  conducted a traffic stop as a result officers issued the driver one traffic citation for failure to display a registration card and a civil citation for possession of marijuana.

2/19/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to Edgewood Commons for a CDS complaint. As a result of the investigation a student was referred to the judicial board.

2/19/16 Public Urination: While patrolling on Bowery St. Frostburg, officers issued a civil citation for public urination.

2/19/16 Knock & Talk: Knock & Talks were conducted at Center Street and Bowery Street, Frostburg. Officers spoke with the tenants about underage drinking, public urination and excessive noise.

2/19/2016 Liquor Law Violation/Littering/Knock & Talk: Officers patrolling on Maple St. Frostburg, officers issued two civil citations, one for littering and one for possession/consumption of an alcoholic beverage underage.  A fictitious Mississippi driver’s license was also confiscated.

2/17/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to the second floor of Cumberland Hall, men’s side, for a complaint of the odor of marijuana in the hallway. As a result of the investigation a judicial board referral was submitted.

2/17/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to Frederick Hall for a report of an odor of marijuana. As a result of the investigation a judicial board referral was made.

2/17/16 Knock & Talks: Knock & talks were conducted with students at various off-campus residences located on Wood & Maple Street, Frostburg. Students were advised to be safe & alert while walking after-hours alone.

2/19/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to E. Main St., Frostburg, at the request of Frostburg City Police, to assist with a domestic disturbance.

2/19/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers assisted the Frostburg City Police with dispersing a large party at Bowery Street, Frostburg. All parties left with no problems and the resident of the home was cited by FPD.

2/21/15 Assist Other Agency: Officers assisted the Frostburg City Police with attempting to locate a vehicle that may have been involved in a hit and run incident at on Center Street, Frostburg. Officers patrolled the area for the vehicle with negative results.  

2/21/16 Break & Entering/Disorderly Conduct: Officers were dispatched to CCIT Building, room 364, for a report of males exposing themselves to females.  Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who stated that she and her friend were in the room studying when white male subjects began harassing them from the hallway. Based upon the video surveillance, charges will be sought against one adult male for attempted burglary and disorderly conduct. The juvenile males will be referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.  

2/22/16 Theft: A Cumberland Hall student reported his Altec Lansing Bluetooth speaker was missing from his bag. The investigation is continuing.

2/12/16 Knock & Talk: Officers conducted a Knock & Talk with 10 international students from India about personal safety, alcohol and city ordinances.

2/23/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to Edgewood Commons for the odor of burnt marijuana. As a result of the investigation one student was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana less the 10 grams and referred to the judicial board.
