Crime Line 3/2 – 3/7

3/2/16 Information: A female student advised she was being harassed by her ex-boyfriend. FSUPD Officers presented a Victim’s Rights Pamphlet and informed how to obtain a peace order to the student.  FSUPD officers also contacted the male and instructed him to not contact the student.

3/2/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to the Beall Elementary School, E. College Ave., Frostburg to assist Frostburg City Police with a panic alarm. Upon arrival officers were advised the alarm was false.

3/2/16 Traffic Accident: Officers investigated an accident in the Center Street parking lot. A FSUPD Traffic Accident form was completed. There were no injuries.

3/2/16 Skateboard Complaint: Facilities Housekeeper reported the CCIT Housekeeper reported a male subject riding a skate board on the 1st and 2nd floors of CCIT building.  The officer was not able to locate the individual.  Skateboarding is prohibited on the campus of FSU.

3/2/16 Traffic Accident: Officers were dispatched to Route 36 at Technology Drive, Frostburg, for a report of a motor vehicle collision. An FSU Traffic Accident Information Form was completed. All parties were advised to contact their respective insurance providers and advise them of the accident.

3/2/16 Theft: A Frederick Hall student reported the theft of his clothes from the dryer on the second floor.  Investigation continues.

3/2/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to room Cumberland Hall for a report of possible CDS paraphernalia.  As a result of the investigation contraband CDS paraphernalia was confiscated. A student was referred to the judicial board.

3/2/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to East Main Street, Frostburg, to assist Frostburg City Police with a domestic assault. Frostburg City arrested one individual for assault.

3/4/16 Suspicious: Officers responded to the Fine Arts building for a suspicious subject in the restroom. Officers then made contact with the subject a male student in the female restroom. As a result of the investigation the student was issued three criminal citations and referred to the judicial board.

3/4/16 Hit & Run: Retired FSU professor reported his vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle while parked in the PE Lot. Investigation revealed the driver of the unknown vehicle and as a result the operator was issued four traffic citations. No injuries were reported.

3/4/16 Assist Other Agency:  Officers responded to Paul St, Frostburg, to assist the Frostburg Police Department with a noise complaint. A tenant of the residence was issued a civil citation for excessive noise by Frostburg City Police.

3/5/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to Wood St., Frostburg, to assist the Frostburg City Police with a reported fight in progress. Upon arrival the subjects were gone.

3/5/16 Assault: Officers responded to Frederick Hall for a report of a disturbance. As a result of the investigation two students were referred to the judicial board.

3/3/16 Theft: Officers investigated the theft of a license plate from a vehicle while parked in the Westminster Hall parking lot. FSU police headquarters entered the vehicles tag into NCIC as a stolen tag.

3/3/16 Warrant Service: A Gray Hall student was served an arrest warrant through Baltimore County for charges of Unauthorized Removal of Property, Motor Vehicle Unlawful Taking, and theft. He was transported to the Allegany County Commissioner’s Office in Cumberland, Md., and held on a $7,000 bond. He was then transported to the Allegany County Detention Center.

3/3/16 Request for Officer: Officers responded to Diehl Hall, for a CDS complaint. Officers did not detect any suspicious odors nor see any items of contraband in plain view.

3/4/16 Vandalism: Officers were dispatched to the 6th floor of Westminster Hall for Vandalism. Upon arrival to the 6th floor the officers observed the words “Every Nigga live in this quad is a bitch”. The writing was removed by housekeeping. Officers checked every floor in the building and no other writing was observed.

3/5/16 Information: FSU parent reported her daughter’s wallet was stolen at an off-campus party. Caller was advised to have her daughter contact the FSU ID services for a replacement and to make sure all her cards have been deactivated that were in her wallet.

3/6/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers assisted the Frostburg Fire Department for a possible house fire on Bowery St., Frostburg. Officers responded to the area and could hear an audible alarm coming from within the residence. Officers assisted the Frostburg City Police with crowd control and traffic control in the area. FFD was unable to locate any dangerous conditions within the residence and cleared after the investigation was complete.

3/6/16 Abandon Vehicle: Officers observed a green Honda Accord parked in a reserved RLO visitor space next to Annapolis Hall with no registration plates displayed. Officers made contact with the owner, a FSU student, who was told that she could not leave the vehicle parked in that space, or anywhere else on campus, without insurance or registration. She advised she would have the vehicle towed.

3/7/16 Open Container: Officers patrolling on Alley 35, Frostburg issued two civil citations for possession/consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a public place.

3/7/16 Knock & Talk: Officers spoke with the tenants at 72 E. College Ave., Frostburg, about open containers and doing beer bongs on the porch.

3/7/16 Bicycle Complaint: Officers responded to the Ort Library for a report of male subject doing tricks on his bicycle. Upon arrival, officers canvas the area and found the subject of interest was gone on arrival.

3/7/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to Bobcat Court, Apt. #1, to assist Frostburg City Police with two male subjects refusing to leave, upon arrival the subjects had left.
