03/20/2019 Fire Alarm – UPD, Lane Center CCIT, Compton, PAC and Fine Arts alarms activated as a result to water pressure drop due to testing at the new dorm construction site.

 

03/20/2019 Crime Prevention- Active shooter presentation at Brady Health Center

 

03/20/2019 Alarm – Officers responded to Westminster Hall for an activated fire alarm.  Upon arrival officers were advised it was the 4^th floor kitchen, burnt food on stove.    

 

03/22/2019 Emergency Phone – Appalachian Lab, All Blue Lights checked and a work order submitted for the one inoperable light.

03/23/2019 Check on Well Being – Officers were flagged down by a concerned citizen in reference to a check on well-being of a male stumbling on Center Street. After making contact with the subject, the male advised he was walking to friend’s house on Maple.  Officers followed the subject to ensure he arrived at the home.

03/23/2019 Traffic Stop – Center Street @ American Ave. – 1 repair order issued

 

03/23/2019 Assist Other Agency – Assisted FPD with an intoxicated individual that was attempting to gain entry into a residence on Wood Street.

 

03/23/2019 Suspicious – Suspicious unoccupied vehicle on Bowery Street with driver door open. Owner of vehicle was sitting at a residence on Bowery.  Warrant checks were conducted.  One individual had an outstanding warrant through Allegany County.  Subjects had exited the vehicle quickly and left the door open by mistake.
03/23/2019 Assist Other Agency – Assisted FPD on Wood Street with a check on well-being call.

 

03/24/2019 Assault – Domestic – Officers responded to Edgewood parking lot for a domestic assault.  Upon arrival, parties were separated.  After conducting interviews with all parties and witnesses, the female subject was escorted to her room.  The male subject was determined to be intoxicated and was escorted to Quality Inn.  Male subject was issued a No Trespassing letter which he advised he understood. Title 9 notified and J-Board referral sent.

 

3/24/2019 Assist other Agency – Assisted FPD on Spring Street with a suicide (non-student) attempt involving a weapon.

 

03/24/2019 Assist other Agency – Assisted other Agency with a disturbance in front of LG’s on Main Street

 

03/24/2019 Traffic Stop – College Avenue @ University Drive – 1 written warning for cell phone use while driving

 

03/24/2019 Alarm – Appalachian Lab- Unauthorized Entry – Patrol was conducted – Building was clear.

 

03/24/2019 CDS – Officers responded to Frederick Hall for an Odor of CDS.  After a walk-through of the area in question, officers were unable to locate the source of the odor.

 

 03/24/2019 Fire Alarm – Officers responded to Frost Hall for a Fire Alarm.  Upon arrival it was determined that burnt food was the reason the alarm was sounding.  Alarms were reset.

 

03/25/2019 Noise Complaint – Officers responded to Dunkle Hall for a noise complaint.  Upon arrival loud music could be heard. After responding to the room in question approximately 30 people were inside playing loud music and participating in games.  Contact was made with the leader of the group and she was advised to reduce the level of noise of music and the noise being created by the attendees.  Subject complied.

 

03/25/2019 CDS – Officers responded to Frederick Hall for an odor of CDS. Upon arrival a faint odor was detected. Contact was made with two students whose door was opened.  Upon entering there was no odor of marijuana in their room.

 

03/26/2019 Assist Other Agency – Assisted FPD in searching for a hit and run vehicle.

 

03/26/2019 Traffic Stop – Center & Stoyer Subject issued a repair order for exhaust.
