Crime Line 3/24 – 3/30
3/24/2016 Request for Officer: Officers were dispatched to Welsh Hill to locate a student at the request of the Center for International Students office. Contact was made with the student who was transported to the Fuller House.
3/25/16 Suspicious: Officers monitoring the activity outside of Hi-Way Pizza, E. College Avenue, Frostburg, observed a male subject cross E. College Avenue and approach the police vehicle. As the subject walked by, he struck the trunk of the police unit with an open hand. Contact was made with the subject and he was released without incident. The police vehicle was not damaged.
3/25/16 Knock & Talk: Officers made contact with the staff at Annapolis Hall. The staff stated that they had been having some problems with the smoking of marijuana in the building.
3/25/16 Assault: Officers responded to the Cordt’s PE Center for an assault. Officers were advised that both parties involved had already departed the area where the incident occurred. Investigation revealed that both students pushed each other before being separated and leaving the building. Neither party wished to pursue criminal charges. A judicial board referral was made.
3/25/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to Simpson Hall for a CDS complaint. After checking several doors on the first floor, they were unable to pinpoint the odor to a specific residence.
3/25/16 Knock & Talk: Officers spoke with the FSU Women’s Softball team about loud noise and excessive drinking.
3/25/16 Vandalism: While conducting an investigation in center stairwell of Cumberland Hall, officers observed graffiti on one of the steps between the 2nd and 3rd floors. The graffiti appeared to consist of the letters DORN, or COBN. Facilities notified for clean-up.
3/26/16 Noise Complaint: Officers responded to Edgewood Commons, room 422, for a report of a loud party and possibly underage drinking. All parties involved were cooperative and polite. A judicial board referral was submitted.
3/26/16 Knock & Talk: Officers spoke with several male students on Bowery St. Frostburg, who were having a cook-out and reminded them of the noise regulations and underage drinking.
3/26/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to Bowery St., Frostburg, to assist Frostburg City Police with a noise complaint.
3/26/2016 Assist Other Agency: At approximately 1905 hours, officers were assisting Frostburg City Police with a noise complaint on Wood St. where there was a large party in the backyard. Officers were standing by while the party dispersed. Officers observed several people standing on the porch roof across the street when the porch roof collapsed. Officers immediately requested EMS & Fire to respond and began to lift the fallen roof to check for any person who may have been trapped. Injured parties were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Investigation conducted by Frostburg City Police.
3/26/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to Wood St., Frostburg, to assist the Frostburg City Police in reference to a loud party. FSUPD Officers stood by while FPD advised the tenants of the property the party was over and everyone had to leave.
3/27/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers were dispatched to the area of Wood St., Frostburg, to assist the Frostburg Police Department with a possible alcohol poisoning. The subject was determined to be less than 21 years of age and issued a civil citation for underage possession/consumption of alcohol by Frostburg City Police before being transported to the hospital by ambulance.
3/27/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to Bobcat Court, Apt.1, for a request for officer. Frostburg City Police were notified to respond. Frostburg City Police arrived on scene, and handled the incident.
3/27/16 Traffic Accident: Officers responded to the Center St. Lot for a traffic accident involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.
3/29/16 Peace Order Violation: A Cumberland Hall student reported her ex-boyfriend has violated a temporary peace order by contacting her through Snap Chat. An application for statement of charges was submitted for violation of the order.
