Crime Line 3/24/2020 – 3/30/2020

03/25/2020  Check on Well Being – Officers were requested to respond to Performing Arts Center for a student that wouldn’t leave the building.  Upon arrival, officers spoke with the individual and requested he vacate the building however the subject became upset.  Officers requested an ambulance.  EMS arrived on the scene and performed an assessment of the student.  The student refused transport and was escorted to his dorm by officers.

03/26/2020  Assist Other Agency (FPD)  –  Officers assisted FPD with a suspicious subject (non-student) at Weimers Auto Lot across from McDonald’s who was looking into windows and a dropbox.  FPD performed their investigation as FSUPD stood by.

03/26/2020  Assist Other Agency (FPD) – FSUPD assisted FPD on Hill Street with a large party complaint, in violation of the Governor’s Executive Order.  FPD made contact with the individuals who were sitting around a small campfire not following the recommended social distance of six feet.

03/29/2020  Suspicious  – Caller reported observing a male subject removing items from the dumpster in the Annapolis Lot.  Officers responded and advised the subject was taking refuse and there was no violation.

03/30/2020  Theft – Misdemeanor – Officers responded to headquarters for a report of property missing from a student’s room.  Contact was made via telephone, and the student advised clothing items were missing from her Frost Hall dorm room. The investigation is still open to obtain the value of the missing items of clothing.

 

The summary period includes 87 calls for service and no traffic stops.
