Crime Line 4/17 – 4/23

04/17/2019 Request for Officer – Officers responded to PE Center for subjects sleeping in the locker room, they were advised they could not sleep in the PE Center locker room and left without incident.

 

04/17/2019 Hit and Run – Officers responded to a hit and run motor vehicle accident that happened in the Library Lot.

 

04/17/2019 Request for Officer – Officers responded to CCIT for a group of students in the handicap ramp playing music.  Upon arrival the group was packing up to leave.  After speaking with the group they advised they were to be near the clock tower but were interfering with another group so they moved.  They were advised in the future not to block the handicap access.

 

04/17/2019 Emergency Phone – After receiving a Blue light call from the Lane Center, Officers responded to the area.  Subjects were gone on arrival.

 

04/17/2019 Community Policing – Officers attended the floor meeting in Annapolis Hall to speak with the students regarding fire safety and the penalty for discharging a fire extinguisher when no fire is present.

 

04/18/2019   – Traffic Accident – Officers responded to the Gravel Lot for a report of a vehicle accident. After making contact with both drivers, completed Motor Vehicle Collision Information Forms were provided to both parties

 

04/18/2019   – Animal Complaint – Students contacted FSUPD to advise that someone had stepped on a rabbit’s nest near Edgewood Commons and they were worried about the safety of the nest due to a group activity in the area.  Rabbit was relocated to a safer location in an effort to prevent anyone else from disturbing the nest or harming the rabbit.

 

04/19/2019 Hit & Run – Subject came into headquarters to file a report of a hit and run on her vehicle in the PAC Lot.  A review of the Ocularis Camera System did show the vehicle parked in the PAC lot however, it did not show that the vehicle was hit by another vehicle.  

 

04/19/2019 Noise Complaint – Music could be heard coming from the inside of Annapolis Hall upon arrival.  After making contact with the subject the music was turned off for the evening.

 

04/21/2019 Traffic Arrest – A traffic stop was made on Braddock Road.  The driver’s driving privilege was found to be suspended in Maryland.  One E-tix citation was issued for driving on highway or public use property on suspended license and privilege.  The vehicle was towed.

 

04/22/2019   – Abandoned Vehicle – University Police was notified regarding a possible abandoned vehicle parked in staff parking in the Edgewood Lot.  The vehicles tags had been removed.  The vehicle does not belong to an FSU employee.  Vehicle will be left for another 48 hours to see if owner arrived to remove vehicle, after which it will be towed.

 

04/23/2019   – Request for Officer – Subject came into headquarters to report damage to her vehicle.  The vehicle was parked on Wood Street however she is unsure where the damage occurred.  She was provided the case number.

 

Summary period includes 106 service calls and 38 traffic stops
