8/31/16 Hit & Run: An Edgewood Commons student reported damage her vehicle.
8/31/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers assisted the Frostburg City Police on Welsh Hill, Frostburg, for a minor dispute.
8/31/16 Knock & Talk: Officers conducted “Knock & Talks” on Bowery St. & E. College Ave., Frostburg.
8/31/16 Liquor Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to a quad in Westminster Hall for a report of underage drinking. Two subjects were issued civil citations for underage consumption of alcohol and referred to the FSU Judicial Board.
9/1/16 Theft: FSU student reported his Maryland registration plate was taken from the rear of his 2006 Honda Accord while parked in the PE Center parking lot.
9/1/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to the area of Rt. 936 and Welsh Hill Rd. to provide back up for a traffic stop at the request of Frostburg City.
9/1/2016 Knock & Talk: Officers conducted ‘Knock & Talk’ with several individuals on Center & Bowery Streets, Frostburg.
9/1/2016 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to the area of Grant and Mechanic St., Frostburg, to back up Frostburg City Police with a fight in progress. Frostburg City Police conducted the investigation.
9/1/2016 Assist Other Agency: Officers were dispatched to Wood Street for reported shots fired. First arriving City Police units reported that fireworks were being discharged and there were no gun shots.
9/2/16 Drug Law Violation: While patrolling in the intersection of American Ave and Bowery St., officers detected a strong odor of marijuana and observed individuals on the at porch at a Bowery St. residence. As a result one student was referred to the FSU Judicial Board.
9/2/16 Knock & Talk: Officers conducted “Knock & Talks” with several individuals on S. Water Spring Streets, Frostburg.
9/3/16 Noise: Officers were dispatched to the rear of Cumberland Hall for a noise complaint. Officers contacted 7-8 persons walking and talking loudly who were asked to quiet down who then left the area.
9/3/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers assisted Frostburg City Police with crowd control of approximately 500 students in the 7-11 Convenience Store parking lot.
9/3/16 Drug Law Violation: An Sowers Hall student reported she could smell marijuana in the lounge area on the 1st. floor. Officers entered the lounge area and could smell a slight odor of marijuana. They did not detect any smoke nor see anything indicating that marijuana had been recently smoked in the lounge area.
9/3/16 False Statement: An off-campus student made a false report that her vehicle was damaged in a hit & run accident that occurred while parked in the State Street parking lot. Student was issued two traffic citations and referred to the FSU Judicial Board.
9/3/16 Information: An Chartwells employee reported she parked her Toyota vehicle in the gravel faculty/staff parking lot on Susan Eisel Drive where it sustained damage.
9/3/16 Request For Officer: FSU student reported she met a male FSU within the past week and advised he will not leave her alone. Victim was informed of her victim’s rights and given a Victim’s Right’s Pamphlet. Contact was made with the male student who was advised to cease contact with the victim or he would be charged with harassment.
9/3/16 Knock & Talk: ‘Knock & Talks’ were conducted at two residences on Bowery and one at on Center St., Frostburg.
9/3/15 Liquor Law Violation: Officers assigned to the FSU football game observed a male subject, later identified to be a FSU student, in possession of alcohol. Student was issued a civil citation for possession/consumption of an alcoholic beverage under 21 and referred to the FSU Judicial Board.
9/3/16 Liquor Law Violation: While working the FSU Football game at the East Entrance of the Bobcat Stadium, officers noticed a male student in possession of alcohol. The student was issued a civil citation for possession/consumption of an alcoholic beverage under 21 and referred to the FSU Judicial Board.
9/3/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to Sowers Hall for a report of an odor of marijuana. As a result one student was issued a civil citation for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and referred to the FSU Judicial Board.
9/3/16 Traffic Accident: Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident in the Westminster Lot.
9/3/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to the Frederick Hall for a complaint of an odor of marijuana. As a result one student was issued a civil citation for possession/consumption of an alcoholic beverage under the age of 21 and referred to the FSU Judicial Board.
9/3/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to the area of Maple St. regarding a request to assist the Frostburg City Police with a large crowd in the roadway. Several Officers responded, provided crowd control, and helped clear the roadway.
9/4/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to Bowery St. to assist Frostburg City Police with a report of a fight. There was no fight however due to the large number of people at this location officers assisted with crowd control. Resident of 53 Bowery Street was issued a noise violation from Frostburg City Police and will be referred to the FSU Judicial Board.
9/4/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers assisted Frostburg City Police with a noise complaint at Oak & Bowery St., Frostburg. Upon arrival no noise was found.
9/4/16 Knock & Talk: Officers conducted ‘Knock & Talks” with several subjects on Center St., Frostburg, and on campus in the Arboretum.
9/4/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to 7/11 convenience store on E. Main St., Frostburg, regarding a request to assist the Frostburg City Police Department with an assault in progress. FSUPD officers provided crowd control and obtained witness information for Frostburg City Police.
9/4/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to B Bowery St. for a report of a possible breaking & entering. Upon arrival, Frostburg City Police checked the building and spoke with the complaint. No B&E had occurred.
9/4/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to Bowery St. for the reported self-inflicted stabbing. Subject is not a student at FSU.
9/5/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to Edgewood Commons reference to the odor of marijuana. As a result one subject was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana in the amount of less than 10 grams and referred to the FSU Judicial Board.
9/5/16 Check On Well-Being: A family member of FSU student reported they have not heard from the student since 9/4/16. Contact was made with the student’s roommate who advised the student had sent a text message stating she was alright. Family member was notified of the outcome.
9/5/16 Fire: Officers responded to the CCIT building for a fire in the mulch. Upon arrival, officers noticed smoke and flames coming from the mulch on the south side of the building near the southwest entrance. Frostburg Fire Dept. arrived on scene and watered and separated the mulch.
9/5/16 Request For Officer: Officers responded to Edgewood Commons, for a reported odor of suspected burnt marijuana as a result a referral was made to the FSU Judicial Board.
