Crime Lines 02/07/2023 – 02/13/2023

02/07/2023 Disorderly Conduct – Officers responded to Brownsville Hall for a female, FSU student, requesting assistance with the removal of her ex-boyfriend, non-FSU student, from her dorm room. Contact was made with both parties. Due to the male non-FSU student not being cooperative with officers and refusing to leave the building, he was placed under arrest and transported to FSU HQ’s. Before being transported, the complainant provided the suspects belongings to officers. The belongings did include suspected marijuana. An FSU Trespass notice was completed and was issued to the individual. The non-FSU student was transported to central booking to await his initial appearance for the charges.

02/07/2023 Noise Complaint – Officers responded to Westminster Hall for a noise complaint. Upon arrival loud music could be heard. Contact was made with the resident of the room in question. Alcohol which was in the room was discarded on site. Officers stated to the individuals that a Judicial Board Referral would be submitted.

02/09/2023 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – FSU officers along with FPD traveled to the FSU Student Affairs Office and made contact with four individuals who each were served with criminal summonses in reference to an assault that occurred on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the intersection of Alley #33 and Oak Street.

02/09/2023 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers responded to University Apartments on Park Avenue for an individual yelling for help at the request of FPD.

02/09/2023 Narcotics Complaint – Officers responded to Westminster Hall for several reported violations of CDS to Theft. J-Board referral submitted.

02/09/2023 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers responded to University Drive at the request of FPD to assist with a suicidal FSU student. The FPD officer advised the student made suicidal comments on TIK-TOK. FSU officers stood by while FPD investigated. The post on TIK-TOK was determined not to be a suicide threat.

02/10/2023 Assist other Agency (FPD) – Officers assisted FCPD on McCulloh Street with warrant service. Subject was in custody upon the officer’s arrival.

02/10/2023 Fire Alarm – Officers responded to Westminster Hall for a fire alarm. Upon arrival the fire panel indicated smoke detector in trash room. Frostburg FD arrived on scene and completed their investigation and found burnt food in the trash can, smoke only. Panel reset and student were allowed back into their building without incident.

02/10/2023 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Assisted FPD with a traffic stop in the Annapolis Lot. FSUPD stood by while FPD completed the stop.

02/11/2023 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers assisted FPD on Wood Street with a domestic disturbance. After both parties were interviewed, they were advised to keep the peace the rest of the evening. No FSU students were involved.

02/11/2023 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers assisted FPD at Meshach Frost Village for an overdose. No action taken by FSUPD. No FSU students were involved.

02/11/2023 Criminal Summons Served – Officers were able to serve a criminal summons to an individual at Sheetz in Frostburg. FSUPD was alerted the individual was patronizing the business by FPD. Subject was non-student.

02/11/2023 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Assisted FPD on Center Street at a business for a fight in progress. Upon officers’ arrival a large crowd was dispersing. An attempt was made with several individuals to locate witnesses, however each person that was contacted claimed they didn’t see the incident. A male subject was located with an obvious injury to his left eye. EMS was requested and arrived on scene a short time later. The subject was reluctant to obtain treatment, however, was later transferred to UPMC for treatment. Due to the male being agitated and argumentative about being transported, FPD did ride with the individual to UPMC. Victim was a current FSU student. No suspects identified at this time.

02/12/2023 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers responded to Bealls Lane to assist FPD with a suspicious person. FPD advised the subject was gone on arrival.

02/12/2023 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Brownsville Hall to assist with evacuating students from Brownsville due to a water leak in the building. Facilities Director was on scene.

02/12/2023 Alcohol Violation – While conducting a fire inspection an RA located alcohol. Officers responded to Annapolis Hall. The alcohol was confiscated and disposed of at police headquarters. Judicial board referral was submitted for the FSU student.

02/13/2023 Narcotics Complaint – Officers responded to Edgewood Commons for suspected marijuana and paraphernalia found during a fire and safety inspection. All items were returned to police headquarters where they were packaged and stored per department policy.
