02/22/202Request For Officer – Officers responded to headquarters to speak with a FSU student who believed money was taken from his wallet after leaving it unattended.  After reviewing the camera footage in the complainant’s presence, the complainant stated that he did not believe the female took any money from his wallet and that he may have been mistaken.  Contact was also made with the female who did pick up the wallet and return it to him.  She advised she looked inside for the ID, but did not take any money from the wallet.  The complainant was instructed to be more mindful of his personal property and not leave any possessions left unattended. 

02/23/2022  Request For Officer – Officers responded to Edgewood for a student stuck in the elevator.  Subject was released.  Medical was not needed.   

02/23/2022  Request For Officer  Officers responded to headquarters to speak with a FSU student reporting being the victim of financial fraud from answering an email about a job offer.  The fraud hack involved (2) two other FSU students who immediately changed their passwords and contacted the help desk to advise.  The initial complainant is in contact with her bank who is conducting an investigation.  

02/23/2022  Request For Officer – An employee who assists in the usage of FSU fleet vehicles contacted headquarters to report a state vehicle was returned with damage and the proper notification was not made.  Observed was damage to the front passenger side quarter panel in between the tire and headlight.  The damage contained yellow paint transfer. There was also damage to the rear bumper.  Contact was made with the FSU employee, last known driver, who stated she possibly could have struck a parking marker pole but was unsure.  The FSU employee came to headquarters and completed a FSU Motor Vehicle Accident Investigation Form.   

02/23/2022  Request For Officer – Officers responded to Brady Health for a student that became belligerent when told he could not receive an x-ray from the Brady Health Center for a leg injury.  Officers made contact with the subject behind Brady Health.  An ambulance was requested to transport the subject to UPMC.  Officers spoke with Brady Health employees who stated the FSU student had been coming into Brady Health frequently over the past few days.  Due to his erratic behavior, the employees felt unsafe and contacted FSUPD.  Judicial Board Referral Submitted. 

02/23/2022  CDS –  Officers responded to a complaint of a hand-to-hand drug transaction.  Through investigative measures they completed follow-ups and identified an individual, a FSU student.  Searches conducted; paraphernalia recovered.  Judicial referral completed.

02/24/2022 Recovered Property – A FSU student came into headquarters to advise he lost money.  He was unsure if it was lost, stolen, or if there was a malfunction with the ATM.  He stated he counted his money near the trash can, adjacent to the ATM.  Officers were able to locate the missing money in the trash can at the Lane Center.  Money was returned to the subject.   

02/24/2022 Narcotics Complaint – Officers responded to Westminster Hall for a reported smell of marijuana.  Contact was made with the occupants of the room where a strong odor was emitting from.  Four (4) FSU students appeared to have bloodshot eyes.  The room was filled with smoke and a strong odor of burnt marijuana was present.  The individuals were advised that Judicial Board Referrals would be submitted.  

02/25/2022  Narcotics Complaint – Officers responded to Westminster Hall for a complaint of an odor of marijuana.  Three (3) FSU students and one (1) non-student occupied the room involved.  All denied smoking in the room where there was a strong odor.  Judicial Board Referral submitted.   

 02/25/2022  Request for Officer – Officers met with a FSU student who stated she is the administrator and creator of a chat room which is an instant messaging and digital distribution platform.  The complainant is having issues with another in the chatroom who is harassing her chat room members.  Officers made contact with the possible person of interest.  All parties involved were told to cease contact with each other.   

 02/25/2022  Narcotics Complaint Officers responded to Simpson Hall for an odor of marijuana from a female in the first-floor lounge.  The female was gone on arrival.  

 02/25/2022  Narcotics Complaint – Officers responded to Gray Hall, basement area, for a report of an odor of CDS.  Contact was made with the individual of the room in question who advised that he does smoke marijuana, but only off campus, never in the dorm, and that he brings the roaches back because he does not want to litter.  He was advised to clean his room and dispose of the burnt-out wrappers into the trash.  No CDS was located.  The incident was referred to the Judicial Board.  

 02/26/2022  Damage To Property – Officers responded to FSUPD for a student reporting damage to his vehicle while it was parked in the Lowndes Lot.  Two suspect vehicles were identified through the Ocularis Camera System.  Officers conducted a patrol of the lots and off-campus housing area with negative results.  Investigations are continuing.  

 02/28/2022  Assist Other Agency (FPD) – While monitoring radio traffic, officers heard an overdose at Bobcat Court and responded.  Upon arrival 3 FPD Units and an EMS unit was on scene.  Officers were advised that the subject who overdosed is not an FSU student, and no assistance was needed. 

Summary period includes 120 calls for service and 3 traffic stops.
