Crime Lines 03/29/2022 – 04/04/2022

03/29/2022 Fraud – An FSU student came to Police Headquarters to report she was a victim of fraud. She advised she answered an email regarding a job. Ultimately, she transferred money as a donation and later contacted her bank and reported the incident. No money has been withdrawn from her account at the time of this report. Officers are continuing the investigation.

03/29/2022 Narcotics Complaint – Officers responded to Annapolis Hall for a strong odor of marijuana next to the complainant’s room. An odor was detected near the door in question. Negative contact was made with the occupant of the room. Judicial Board Referral submitted.

03/30/2022 Request For Officer – The Billing Office contacted HQ’s regarding a suspicious use of a parking hangtag. Investigation ongoing.

03/30/2022 Assist Other Agency – FPD was contacted after a complainant walked into FSUPD Headquarters to speak to someone regarding a possible sexual assault allegation. After disclosure, FPD continued the investigation and took the initial report. CPS was also notified. No students involved.

03/31/2022 Narcotics Complaint – Officers responded to Gray Hall for a complaint of an odor of marijuana near the front of the first floor near the hall office. Negative contact was made with any residents of the room in question.

04/03/2022 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers responded to Bowery Street to assist FPD with a noise complaint. Upon arrival, officers contacted FPD officers and confirmed a party had already dispersed.

04/03/2022 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers responded to the Alley between Wood Street and Center Street to assist FPD with a noise complaint at this location. As individuals were dispersing from a Wood Street address, three suspected (3) gunshots were heard in the area of E. College Avenue. Investigation is continuing.

04/03/2022 Assault – While responding to the area between Wood Street and Center Street to assist FPD with a noise complaint, possible gunshots were heard just south of the officer’s location on Wood Street. The investigation is continuing.

04/03/2022 Narcotics Complaint – Officers responded to Annapolis Hall for a smell of marijuana. Contact was made with the tenant of the room in question where there were several subjects in the room. One subject identified himself and stated he had one “paper” joint of marijuana. Nothing further in the room. The subjects were advised a Judicial Board Referral would be submitted.

04/03/2022 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers responded to Wood Street for a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant who believes her boyfriend had broken into her house today after being released from jail earlier. Officers cleared the residence with negative results.

Summary period includes 130 calls for service and 9 traffic stops.
