04/19/2022 Administrative Paper Service – Officers responded to Frederick Hall to serve an FSU student with a trespass notice from Loyola University. Contact was made.
04/19/2022 Assist Other Agency – Contact was made with an FSU student in Annapolis Hall regarding the location of his phone or obtaining a new phone/number.
04/19/2022 Suspicious – Sr. Associate VP of Student Affairs contacted Headquarters regarding a suspicious individual he had encountered on campus. A male subject that was “lost” was looking for a female who was a dancer. The male subject would not provide his last name for identification purposes, however he stated he was not a student at FSU. Officers responded and conducted a patrol of campus with negative results for the male.
04/19/2022 Narcotics Complaint – Officers responded to Annapolis Hall for an odor of marijuana. Officers could not detect any odor.
04/21/2022 Information – An FSU employee at the Human Resources Office received a phone call in her office with people screaming in the background and someone is shouting “clear out, clear out.” An officer called the number which came back to a current FSU student who advised she was at a lacrosse game and people were yelling. She must have accidentally dialed the extension.
04/22/2022 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers responded to the Outback Bar to stand-by while patrons exited the establishment as the business closed. While standing by the officers were approached by a female advising her vehicle was stolen. It was learned that the vehicle was driven to her residence by a friend. Officers confirmed the vehicle was at the residence.
04/23/2022 CDS – While conducting a foot patrol, officers observed an unsecured door on Simpson Hall. As the door was being secured, a strong odor of marijuana was detected. Contact was made with the individuals of the room in question. Upon speaking with the females, they admitted to smoking marijuana in the room. Paraphernalia was confiscated which had suspected marijuana in the mouthpiece and placed into evidence for disposal. Judicial Board Referral Submitted
04/24/2022 Damage to Property – While unlocking Cook Chapel for a student activity, officers observed one of the window blinds to be blowing in the wind. Upon further investigation, there was a large amount of broken glass on the floor and the bottom pane of the window to be shattered. A review of Ocularis was conducted. Officers observed a facilities side-by-side with a bucket piling snow in front of the window on 4/19/22 at 1115 hours. The snow was piled directly in front of the window to a level which covered the bottom pane of glass. Due to the level of snow, officers were unable to clearly observe the window to determine its condition until the snow began to melt on 4/23/22 at approximately 1100 hours. Based on the reflection off the glass, it appeared that the window was broken at that time. Officers were unable to observe any individuals in the area of the window prior to that time.
04/24/2022 Traffic Accident – Officers responded to State Street Lot for a vehicle accident with injuries. Two vehicles were involved. Two FSU students were transported to UPMC for treatment. Vehicles were towed from the scene.
4/25/2022 Suspicious – While patrolling the Stangle Building officers observed a van exiting from the rear of the building. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver advised he was behind the Stangle Building throwing trash in the dumpster. He stated he was advised to by Mr. Brewer, as he works for Corridor Flooring, to place the trash from the job site in the dumpster behind Stangle.
Summary period includes 126 calls for service and 5 traffic stops.
