Crime Lines 09/27/2022 – 10/03/2022

09/27/2022 Fraud – Headquarters received a call from Frostburg State University’s Assistant Bursar regarding a fraud alert received on a check. The University has recently started utilizing a new fraud detection software which had flagged two fraudulent checks in the last few weeks. Investigation is ongoing.

09/27/2022 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers responded to Bowery Street to assist FPD with a destruction of property complaint.

09/27/2022 Narcotics Complaint – Officers responded to Cumberland Hall for a report of an odor of CDS. Officers conducted a walk-through of Cumberland Hall. No odor was present.

09/28/2022 Traffic Accident – Officers responded to the Lower Pullen Lot for a motor vehicle crash. A Frostburg State University Police Motor Vehicle Collision Information Exchange Form was completed and provided to both drivers as both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.

09/30/2022 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – FSUPD assisted FPD with language translation at FPD Headquarters.

10/01/2022 Robbery – Robbery in Westminster Hall. Headquarters received a call from a resident in Westminster Hall reporting a robbery. Officers spoke with several individuals and viewed the Ocularis Video Surveillance footage, this appears to be a targeted incident. Investigation is ongoing and has been assigned to C3I.

10/02/2022 Assist Other Agency – (FPD) – Officers assisted FPD with a disturbance on Wood Street. Officers stood by while FPD spoke with several juveniles in reference to the disturbance.

10/02/2022 Assist Other Agency – (FPD) – Officer responded to Bowery Street Ext. to assist FPD with a noise complaint. Upon request the renters of the property turned off the music to prevent further disturbances.

10/02/2022 Narcotics Complaint – A students father called to report the smell of marijuana coming from the sixth floor of Brownsville Hall. As a result of the investigation a Judicial Board Referral was completed.

10/03/2022 Criminal Summons Served – A Criminal Summons was served at headquarters to an FSU student, not currently enrolled at the University.

Summary period includes 124 calls for service and 7 traffic stops.
