Crime Lines 10/04/2022 – 10/10/2022

10/04/2022 Assist Other Agency (ACSO) – Assisted Allegany County Sheriff’s Office in locating an FSU student in Frost Hall with negative contact. A second attempt was made later in the day, contact was made, and the Order was served.

10/05/2022 Harassment – A FSU student came into headquarters to speak with an officer to report possible harassment. The student was advised to document all texts and forward if anymore were received, but to not reply back. The incident will be forwarded to Title IX and a Crime Victim’s and Witness pamphlet was given and explained, as well as information about CAPS.

10/06/2022 Tampering W/M/V – A FSU student came into headquarters to speak with an officer about her vehicle being vandalized. The student stated that someone placed hot pink rubber penises on her vehicle valve stem covers. Officers reviewed the Ocularis Camera System and identified two female friends of the victim tampering with the vehicle valve stems. Officers contacted the suspect who explained the activity was meant as a joke. She was advised that her joke made the student feel uncomfortable worried that someone was targeting her vehicle. The victim requested no further police action be taken at this time.

10/06/2022 Assist Other Agency – Officers responded University Garden Apartments to assist FPD with a reported Domestic in progress. The suspect was gone on arrival. Officers stood by until a second FPD officer arrived. No further action taken by this department.

10/07/2022 Suspicious – While conducting a premise check of the CARI building, officers observed a vehicle parked in the parking lot. Contact was made with the driver who was identified as a professor at FSU. Officers cleared.

10/07/2022 Damage to Property – Officers were assigned the task of investigating a property damage incident at the Lane Center loading dock where the dock plate was damaged sometime and not reported. Review of the Ocularis Security System revealed a delivery truck backed into the dock striking the dock plate with force causing damage. The owner of the truck company was contacted. Facilities were also notified of the incident.

10/08/2022 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – FSUPD reported to gunshots on Bowery Street with one male having a gunshot wound. EMS arrived and transported the subject to UPMC. FSUPD officers assisted FPD with locating witnesses, conducting interviews, obtaining statements, and crowd control. All information gathered was handed over to FPD. The investigation is continuing by FPD and C3I.

10/08/2022 Disturbance – While officers were working the football game, at the end of the game the visiting team was leaving the field and a coach flagged an officer over to him.

The coach pointed to a white male yelling profanities toward him. At this time, the officer made contact with the male. The male was heavily intoxicated with a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath/person. The FSU student was identified and of age. He was asked to leave the stadium. J- Board Referral submitted.

Summary period includes 130 calls for service and 8 traffic stops
