Crime Lines 10/25/2022 – 10/31/2022

10/25/2022 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers were requested to assist FPD with a noise complaint near Bowery Extended. The complaint was unfounded.

10/25/2022 Extortion – Officers met with an FSU student at Headquarters regarding receiving threatening and harassing messages. After an interview with the complainant, the case was referred to Title IV and Student Affairs with the complainant’s consent. The investigation is continuing.

10/26/2022 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – FPD requested officers to respond to a disturbance at 7-11 Convenience Store on E. Main Street due to FPD units being unavailable at the time of the call. Upon arrival officers were approached by an individual who advised that he was inside the 7-11 store when he encountered a male subject who is known to him. The individual advised that a brief exchange of words occurred between the two before the male subject “smacked” him across the face. The parties were separated and advised of their District Court rights. Both individuals left the area. No further police action taken by this department.

10/27/2022 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers responded to Hills Street to assist FPD with a reported breaking and entering. FSUPD assisted FPD with clearing the house and conducting the investigation. No subjects were located within the residence and no sign of forced entry was observed.

10/27/2022 Damage to Property – Officers met with an FSU student who advised someone threw a rock at her bedroom window, breaking it, and waking her up. A review of the Ocularis Camera System did show what appears to be a white male in a red and black shirt, stand at the sidewalk and throw rocks at the building and vicinity of the complainant’s window. Investigation is continuing.

10/28/2022 Medical Emergency – Allegany County Dispatch advised of an ambulance being dispatched to Westminster Hall for a subject with abdominal pains. The student was transported to UPMC by ambulance for treatment.

10/28/2022 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers responded to Park Avenue to assist with a large party. Officers arrived in the area and were not able to locate any parties/excessive noise.

10/29/2022 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers responded to the area of Bowery Street to assist FPD with a noise complaint and possible fight in progress. Officers arrived in the area and did not locate any noise or disturbances on Bowery Street. Officers went to Alley 32 and could see a large group in the rear yard area of a Bowery Street residence. Several subjects were yelling at each other in an aggressive manner near the residence. Officers were able to separate the subjects. There were no other issues as the party was dispersing.

10/29/2022 Traffic Arrest – While on patrol on College Avenue, officers observed two males on a moped that traveled off the sidewalk towards Bowery Street. After the emergency lights were activated, the driver sped up and traveled towards Welsh Hill Road. The moped was continuing through several intersections without stopping at any stop signs. The moped was eventually stopped on Welsh Hill. Contact was made with the driver who was a juvenile. The passenger was also a juvenile. Both were released to their parents. The moped was towed due to it having no working lights and the operator having no valid driver’s license or moped permit. Officers referred the case to Juvenile Services and recommended several traffic charges be issued to the driver.

10/29/2022 Assist Other Agency – FSUPD assisted Allegany County Emergency Services with a medical emergency on Wood Street. FSUPD assisted in removing the resident from the home as the residence was located on a steep hill. No other issues during the assist.

10/31/2022 Request for Officer – Officer spoke with a complainant who advised he believed his vehicle was damaged on the passenger side while he was attending an FSU Football game and parked in the PE Lot. A review of the Ocularis Camera System by officers was conducted, and officers did not observe any vehicle make contact with the vehicle in question. While reviewing the video, the vehicle was observed entering a parking lot on South Broadway. However, the passenger side of the vehicle was not visible. The complainant was advised of the findings and was referred to FPD due to South Broadway being in their jurisdiction.

Summary period includes 110 calls for service and 7 traffic stops
