Crime Lines 10/27/2020 – 11/02/2020
10/27/2020 CDS – Allegany County Dispatch reported receiving trouble signals several times from the NRH Building. After entering the building officers advised the fire panel indicated the smoke detector on the 4th floor was activated. Officers noticed a strong odor of burnt marijuana where the smoke detector was sounding. Officers attempted to make contact with the residents of the room, via telephone, with negative results. Later, contact was made. The subject came into headquarters and she advised she was smoking marijuana and that she lit incense to cover up the odor. She also stated she turned off the smoke detector off. The subject was informed that FSUPD was contacted by Allegany County Dispatch that there was a fire. If emergency services had responded she would be liable for the cost of emergency services responding. FSU Student. J-Board Submitted.
10/29/2020 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Sowers Hall for an odor of CDS. After a walk through on the 1st floor officers were unable to detect any odor.
10/29/2020 Assist Other Agency (ACSO) – Assisting Allegany County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation of theft by three FSU students that resided in Edgewood Commons. A total of 3 items were stolen from Ulta Beauty in the Country Club Mall. Items were recovered all while maintaining their innocence. ACSO will be applying charges for all three FSU students and Judicial Board referral submitted.
10/29/2020 CDS – An RA from Westminster requested an Officer for an odor of CDS. Upon arrival Officers were unable to locate the source.
10/30/2020 Assist Other Agency – Officers responded to Edgewood Commons to assist C3I with attempting to contact an FSU student. Negative contact was made.
10/31/2020 Assist Other Agency (ACSO) – Assisted ACSO on a traffic stop with a PC search on Park Avenue at the Vet Center. Non-FSU Student.
11/02/2020 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Detained 1 female subject in cell #2. Non-FSU Student.
11/02/2020 Request for Officer – FSU Student came into headquarters to file a hit and run complaint. Officers reviewed camera footage from Cumberland Hall parking area and State Street Lot. At no point did officers observe any other vehicle strike the complainant’s vehicle.
11/02/2020 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Assisted FPD at Frederick Hall with making contact with a resident FSU Student.
Summary period includes 108 calls for service and 3 Traffic Stops.
