Crime Lines 11/09/2021 – 11/15/2021

11/09/2021 Request for Officer – Officers responded State Street Lot for a complainant advising they may have witnessed a hit and run as they entered a parking space. Investigation revealed no hit and run occurred.

11/09/2021 Request for Officer – Officers responded to FSU PD to speak with a complainant regarding a theft. Officers later received a call from the complainant advising he had located his phone in the bleacher area of the stadium after learning of its location from a friend.

11/09/2021 Assist Other Agency (C3I) – Assisted C3I in contacting a student.

11/09/2021 Narcotics Complaint – Officers responded to Edgewood Commons for an odor of marijuana. As a result of the investigation a student was referred to the J-Board.

11/10/2021 Damage to Property – HQ received a complaint of broken glass off a whiteboard in Brownsville Hall. Investigation revealed that the damage was accidental.

11/10/2021 Traffic Accident – Officers responded to the Gunter Parking Lot for a minor vehicle accident. An information exchange form was completed and provided to both parties.

11/11/2021 Hit & Run – Officers were contacted by a male subject who advised he heard a truck back into a SUV at the faculty lot next to Framptom Hall. Investigation continues.

11/13/2021 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers overheard radio traffic and responded to Bowery Street for a 911 hang up call with an open line. FPD had responded, no problems were observed.

11/15/2021 Request for Officer – Officers were contacted at FSU PD by two FSU students advising that they were concerned for their safety due to an ongoing incident involving social media. Officers provided each with a “Maryland Crime Victims and Witnesses” Pamphlet and explained to them their options for pursuing a Peace Order if they so wished.

Summary period includes 149 calls for service and 4 traffic stops.
