Crime Lines 11/16/2021 – 11/22/2021

11/16/2021 Hit & Run – Officers met with the complainant, an FSU student who advised she was parked in the P.E. Lot when she noticed the rear passenger side fender had scratches and the rubber part around the wheel had been separated from her car. A review of the Ocularis camera system did not show any vehicle come in contact with her vehicle. The findings were explained, and she stated that she did live off campus so therefore it may have happened overnight on her block.

11/17/2021 Request for Officer – Officers were dispatched to Frederick Hall to speak with three (3) female FSU students that advised that a male subject knocked on their door looking for one of the females in the quad who was not present at that time. Ocularis cameras were checked for an hour before and hour after; there were two different males that could possibly have been the subject. Officers identified the subjects in question and determined the knocking on the door was a prank.

11/17/2021 Hit & Run – While on patrol officers noticed a stop sign that had been knocked down in the Fine Arts Handicapped Lot. The striking vehicle was identified, and a work order was submitted.

11/18/2021 Animal Complaint – Headquarters received multiple calls for a deceased cat in the roadway of Lowndes Lot. Animal was removed.

11/19/2021 Hit & Run – FSU student called HQ to report her vehicle was struck in Edgewood Lot. Officers responded and contacted the student who advised she came out to her vehicle and noticed damage to the rear passenger side bumper area. A review of the Ocularis Camera system showed the area of the student’s parked vehicle, and no vehicles were observed striking the vehicle while it was parked at that location.

11/19/2021 Theft-Misdemeanor – Officer was dispatched to Frederick Hall to speak with a complainant, an FSU student who advised that she left her laundry basket in the laundry room in Frederick Hall and when she returned to the laundry room her basket of clothes was missing. No camera footage of the theft is available and no suspects at this time.

11/22/2021 Hit & Run – Officers responded to the lobby at police headquarters to meet with the complainant, an FSU student who reported her vehicle was struck while parked in the Sand Spring Lot. Surveillance video of the Sand Spring Lot was reviewed from November 10, 2021 until November 22, 2021, where the vehicle was parked. There was no obvious evidence of her vehicle being struck while parked at this location. The complainant was notified and informed of the finding, and she was provided with an incident report number for insurance purposes.

Summary period includes 133 calls for service and 3 traffic stops.
