09/22/2020 Assist Other Agency (ACSO) – Allegany County Sheriff’s Office requested FSUPD’s assistance with the service of a search warrant served on Broadway Street. No FSU students were involved.
09/23/2020 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Edgewood Commons for a possible hit and run. Parties were identified and an information exchange form was completed.
09/23/2020 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Ort Library for a disruptive student who has been refusing to leave the building at closing and refusing to wear a mask. The student left the area before the arrival of the Officer.
09/24/2020 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Ort Library for a staff member reporting a female and a male entering the female restroom on the 5th floor. After speaking to both students, it was determined that the male subject was having stomach issues and entered the first bathroom he located. A referral was submitted to the judicial board.
09/25/2020 Traffic Stop – A traffic stop was conducted on Braddock Road and contact was made with the operator and issued the driver one warning for failing to have lighted lamps in unfavorable visibility conditions.
09/25/2020 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Looking for a white SUV with front end damage. Involved in a hit & run on Wood Street.
09/25/2020 Suspicious – While on patrol, an officer observed the trunk of a vehicle that was open/raised and there was no one in the area. When no one came to close the trunk, the officer secured the trunk/hatch.
09/25/2020 CDS – Officer observed a vehicle traveling North on University Drive without its headlights on where the conditions out deemed it necessary. As a result of the investigation a warning was issued for failing to have lighted lamps on. A Judicial Board referral was completed.
09/25/2020 Traffic Stop – A traffic stop at Oak Street was conducted and a Maryland Safety Equipment Repair Order was issued for a right front headlight that was inoperable.
09/25/2020 Traffic Stop – A traffic stop on University Drive was conducted and a warning was issued for failing to have two lighted lamps as required.
09/25/2020 Suspicious – Contact was with FSUPD requesting an officer to investigate a suspicious looking cooler that had been sitting on the loading dock of Lane University Center for approximately 8 hours. Officer responded and the cooler was just trash that someone had left.
09/26/2020 Noise Complaint – Received a call to report a party of 10-20 people causing a disturbance at Edgewood Common. Everyone except for the residents of the room left without any problems. Everyone’s information was obtained J-Board report sent.
09/26/2020 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – FPD contacted dispatch for backup at a residence on Bowery Street for a domestic in progress. No FSU students involved.
09/26/2020 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – FPD contacted FSUPD for backup on Mill Street for an erratic juvenile. Officer Standby on Mill Street, Frostburg MD for Frostburg City Police. Verbal dispute between minor and parents. No physical contact. No further assistance needed from this agency.
09/26/2020 Suspicious – Chesapeake worker called for a potential harassment in the Annapolis Lot regarding three males. No evidence of harassment found, and no further police action needed.
09/26/2020 Assist Other Agency (ACSO) – FSUPD assisted ACSO with a traffic stop in Annapolis Lot. Officer stood by while a deputy conducted the traffic stop.
09/26/2020 Lost Property – Student came into the department to report her lost cell phone. A business card with the department’s phone number, and the case number was giving to the student for her to provide to her insurance company.
09/27/2020 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – FSUPD responded to Maple Street to assist FPD with a report of a disturbance. Officers stood by in the area for a short time and observed no further issues.
09/27/2020 Parking Complaint – An officer was requested to the New Resident hall for a vehicle parked in a no parking zone. Officer responded; contact was made with subject – she will move her vehicle.
09/28/2020 Traffic Stop – A traffic Stop was conducted on College Avenue/Bowery Street and one written warning was issued for a one-way violation.
Summary period includes 122 calls for service and 4 Traffic Stops.
