Cross Country Men Take Seventh Place

On Saturday, Oct. 5th, the Frostburg State University men and women cross country teams had a meet at the Don Cathcart Invitational. The Bobcat men took seventh place earning 191 points. Many of the FSU runners had a great day completing either their personal best or season-best in the amount of time it took for them to finish.

Frostburg junior Braxton Clark was the top runner of FSU, not only in Don Cathcart, but all 4 of the meets that took place this fall. Clark came in 13th place, with a personal best time of 26:16. Making it into the top 40, the next highest runner for Frostburg was senior Jacobs Rickards coming in 38th place, achieving a personal best time for himself also finishing in 27:22. First-year runner Daniel Foster came in 43rd place achieving his personal best time of 27:40. Senior Timothy Wolodkin placed 61st overall and achieved his season-best time of 28:21. Coming in 69th place overall, and 5th place of FSU runners was Senior Lorenzo Wilson with his personal best time of 28:36. 2 places behind Wilson was junior Devin Horseman-Guy, achieving 71st place overall and 6th place for FSU. Horseman-Guy finished in 28:54. Sophomore Brennan Tomassoni finished in 86th place, timing 29:39. Junior Jack Bullen placed 94th overall, finishing in a season-best 29:53. First-year Jaydon Morley placed 97th overall, achieving a personal best 30:15.

For women’s Cross Country, both sophomore Natalie Gray and Isabel Pereira finished with personal bests. In 77th place with a personal best time of 27:43 was Gray. Finishing in 87th place with a personal best time of 28:51 was Pereira.

Frostburg State University Cross Country will have another meet at the Gettysburg Invite on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 10:30 a.m.
