Frostburg Men’s Soccer Heads to Playoffs

Frostburg State University’s Men’s soccer came back to win against West Virginia Wesleyan College (WVWC) 2-1.

Within the first five minutes of the game, WVWC scored a goal by Javier De Ona Garcia, making it 1-0. Frostburg came back to tie in the 31st minute as Sam Cryer crossed the ball to Kenny Simms who scored off a header. Before the half ended, Frostburg had another shot on goal by Alex Retzos that hit off the back post.

In the second half of the game, Frostburg and WVWC went back and forth on possession, but Frostburg eventually got the upper hand and scored, making it 2-1. The goal happened because Caleb Dell threw the ball into Galo Cappelletti, who headed the ball in, resolving the score of the game.
