Frostburg Men’s Soccer Scores Late, Winning Against Alderson Broaddus

The Frostburg State University (FSU) Men’s soccer team competed against Alderson and Broaddus Wednesday night, scoring a last-minute goal to win.

Within the first 2 minutes of the game, Alex Grasso scored putting Frostburg ahead of Alderson. The rest of the half was split between the teams as Alderson and Frostburg both had four shots on goal.

Alderson came back strong in the second half with Daniel Prieto scoring an equalizing goal in the 54th minute. The score remained 1-1 until the 81st minute when Jose Rodriquez hit a missile shot from the 20-yard line that hit the bar and went over the line making the final score 2-1.

Frostburg advanced their record to 7-7-1 while Alderson Broaddus fell to 5-10 on the season. Frostburg will be playing an away game at 7 pm in Charleston, WV on Saturday, October 30.
