Frostburg State Football Wins Against Concord

Frostburg State University (FSU) defeated Concord University (CU) very convincingly with a score of 42-23, continuing their three-game win streak. Frostburg State gained the lead with a 30-yard defensive touchdown on CU’s first series by Mitchell West. Following that 7-point lead, Frostburg increased the lead to 21 by two touchdown passes to Lincoln Ikwubuo. CU counters with a touchdown of their own but missed the field goal making it 21-6. The first quarter ended 28-6 Frostburg.  

Payton Payne, for FSU, scored on a 55-yard fumble recovery in the second quarter with 5 minutes left. Concord made a four-yard pass to Tywan Pearce after 14 plays and 75 yards. Within the first minute of the third quarter, FSU scored another touchdown with receiver Malik Morris. In the fourth quarter, CU scored two touchdowns with FSU still at 42 points. The game ended with FSU taking the victory over CU 42-23.
