FrostburgFirst Hosts Annual Arts Walk as Maryland’s 18th Arts and Entertainment District

On Saturday, April 28, FrostburgFirst hosted its annual Arts Walk from 3-8 p.m. Having over 50 artists paired with Frostburg’s unique small businesses along with over 75 musicians and performers, this small town was as lively as ever. Amongst the artists were painters, photographers, jewelers, potters, seamstresses, metalworkers, woodworkers, soap makers, and more.

In 2009, Frostburg earned a designation as Maryland’s 18th Arts and Entertainment District. The Arts Walk is held annually to showcase these local artists and craftsmen.

“With more participating artists and businesses than ever before, it is exciting to see this event continue to grow and flourish,” mentioned Bethany Doyle, former Interim Main Street Manager.

Doyle also remarked,“the Frostburg Arts Walk always feels to me like the kick off to the summer season. It is so exciting to see the streets alive with art, music, and people exploring our town. A lot of hard work goes in to pulling off an event like Arts Walk. We are so grateful to our hard working staff, volunteers, and local artists and business owners who make Arts Walk such a great event!”
