FSU College Democrats Endorse Roger Manno for Congress

On April 9, Frostburg State University’s College Democrats decided to endorse Roger Manno for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District.

College Democrats President Tyler Bauer’s letter to Senator Manno is included below.

Dear Senator Manno,

On behalf of the Frostburg State College Democrats, I am excited to finally be able to announce that we are officially endorsing your candidacy for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District. In doing so we realize that we are sharing the honor with other prestigious organizations like Our Revolution Western Maryland and Progressive Maryland in endorsing you.

Throughout your career you have advocated for labor unions, single payer healthcare, fair wages, education reform, an economy that works for everyone, and the rights of everyone. These are positions that the Frostburg State College Democrats strive to fight for as well. In February you fought tirelessly to protect Net Neutrality in Maryland with your introduction of Senate Bill 287. The numerous bills you have passed expanding health care coverage and your endorsement from National Nurses United speaks volumes to your work.

The first event I organized as President of the College Democrats was inviting you to speak with us. When Frostburg State University students were visiting Annapolis, you dropped everything to come and speak with us. You even took the time to advise Frostburg Students on our National Firearms Protection Act and helped point us in the right direction.

We know that as our Congressman you will continue to fight tirelessly for progressive values and work to bring much needed change to this district. Thank you for all you have done for Maryland and Frostburg State University. You have the Frostburg State College Democrats full support in your pursuit to represent Maryland’s 6th Congressional District.
