FSU Lacrosse Falls to Florida Southern College
The Frostburg State University Bobcats traveled to Florida to take on 13th ranked Florida Southern College (FSC). The Bobcats are coming off a win on March 20th (18-17) and look to keep the wins coming.
FSC started off the game aggressive as they would tally on a quick goal early on in the first. Shortly then after that quick strike, the Bobcats pounced on a quickly scored goal themselves. Senior Jake Bowman scored the strike.
Shortly after, Florida Southern would get back to their offensive campaign and score two very quick goals to extend their lead and break the tie. Florida tried to score another quick strike, but goalkeeper, Kevin Reuther, performed amazing save to bring life back to the Bobcats.
After that, the Bobcats were on the hunt. FSU scored two goals, one by junior Bubba Love and another by Jake Bowman. Florida ended the quarter with two quick strikes of their own making it a 5-3 game.
FSU got off to a nice start in the second as sophomore Tyler Dooley gave the Bobcats another goal. Shortly after that redshirt junior Tanner Donaldson would score two goals and senior Joey Boros would get one more to give the Bobcats a 7-5 lead.
Florida rebounded after trailing by two and scored two goals themselves. Florida scored a third with 15 seconds to go in the half to take a 8-7 lead. Frostburg came out the second half on fire scoring another goal by Boros to give the bobcats the lead.
Unfortunately for the Bobcats, Florida went on a four goal run, thus reclaiming the lead. In the fourth, the Bobcats came back to only trail by one, but Florida was just too dominant for the Bobcats as they would win 16-10.
The Bobcats fell to 3-3. They will take on Robert Wesleyan on the road this Saturday at 12:00 PM.
