FSU Student Dies of Blood Clot
Frostburg State University (FSU) graduate student She-Ra White died of natural causes on the morning of Monday, April 28, 2014. The Maryland state Medical Examiner’s office stated that she suffered from a blood clot that moved to her lungs.
The condition, which caused White to experience lightheadedness and shortness of breath is called an acute pulmonary thromboembolism. The Medical Examiner’s office found that this condition caused her to fall down a stairway in the Guild Center. After she was found by another student, she was taken to a local hospital where she passed away.
White came to FSU from Wichita Falls, Texas in 2012 as a graduate student in the Counseling Psychology program.
FSU President Johnathan Gibralter released this statement on Monday:
“We will forward funeral information to the campus community as it becomes available. In addition, the FSU Counseling Center is available for anyone who wishes to speak to someone. Call them at 301-687-4234 at any time.
