FSU Women’s Track And Field With Five Top Ten Finishes At The Jim Taylor Invitational

The Bobcat women’s track and field team competed at the Jim Taylor Invitational hosted by Susquehanna University on Saturday, March 30. The women’s track and field team came up with five top ten finishes.

Senior Holly Van Wie threw in the hammer throw and finished sixth place, throwing 42.85 meters.

Junior Gabbriell Reason ran in the 100-meter dash, taking eighth place with a time of 13.29. Junior Keileen Estrada ran in the same event landing thirteenth place with a time of 13.41. Estrada also competed in the 200-meter dash, adding a sixth place finished with a time of 27.84. Sophomore Maddison Watson was also in the 200-meter dash, making in top ten with ninth place and time of 28.21. Watson also ran in the 400, making tenth place with a time of 1:03:23.

First-year Amy Trembly competed in the high jump, finishing in twelfth place with 1.45 meters. Junior Sarah McCurry ran in the 5,000-meter dash, placing fourteenth with a time of 21:50.52.

The Bobcats will return next Saturday as FSU hosts the Bobcat Invitational.
