FSU’s Activities for Life Offers Beginner’s and Basic Tumbling Classes

Activities for Life at Frostburg State University will offer two sessions of tumbling, a beginner’s class for children ages 3 and 4 and a basic class for children ages 5 to 8 years. Both sessions will take place on Thursdays, Session 1 from Feb. 7 through March 7 and Session 2 from March 28 through April 25. The beginner’s class will be held from 5 to 5:50 p.m. and the basic class will be from 6 to 6:50 p.m., both held in room 106 of the Cordts Physical Education Center.

The beginner’s class will focus on skills like stretching, forward and backward rolls, cartwheels and handstands.

The basic class will introduce handstands, backbend kick-overs, front walkovers and round-offs and will even start to work on back handsprings. New skills will be incorporated with games and activities.

The instructors are Amber Oliff and Taryn Brandy.

The payment deadline is Monday, Feb. 4, for Session 1 and Monday, March 25, for Session 2.
