Live At Lane Presents Nicole Byer!

Nicole Byer is an actress and comedian from New Jersey. She has a show on Netflix called Nailed it and has also been on the show Girl Code. Both shows have been very popular on Netflix and television. Before Byer entered the stage, Darren Brand opened up for her to get the crowd prepared.

Brand is also a stand-up comedian and is from North Carolina. Along with being a comedian, he consistently features on the show Wild N’ Out with Nick Cannon and other cast members. He made numerous jokes about relationships and life at Frostburg, which made the crowd love him because they were jokes with which Frostburg students could relate. To see more of Brand, check out Wild N’ Out, which airs Thursdays on MTV and MTV2 at 10 p.m.

When Byer came out, she started making jokes about politics and her grandfather. She made a joke about when she realized she was African American and was asked to go tanning by her friend Stacy. Her friend replied, “I don’t see color,” and Nicole said, “but you’re going tanning.” The crowd found this joke hilarious.

Byer closed the show by making a joke about the different hairstyles she had when she was in high school. People would come up to her and ask about her hair, saying, “is it stapled to your head?” She replied by lying and agreeing with it. The audience spilled in laughter.
