Men’s Soccer Take a Loss At Bobcat Stadium to Charleston
Frostburg Men’s soccer was defeated by the Golden Eagles from Charleston, WV, 2-0, on Sunday night. Within the first half, there were two shots on goal for Charleston and none for the Bobcats, who were playing a little bit more on the defensive. In the first half alone, there were 13 fouls with one yellow card being awarded to Eduardo Iranzo on the Charleston team.
Within the first 17 seconds, FSU gave up another foul. In the 52nd minute, Josecarlos Martinez took a shot, which led to a corner kick for the Bobcats. Unfortunately for the bobcats, nothing came from it. No more than three minutes later, Gabriel Rodriguez scored a goal for the Golden Eagles. Frostburg took three more shots on goal, all being saved. With twelve minutes left to play in the second half, Charleston scored their second goal, making the score 2-0. Frostburg was unable to counter and the game ended with Charleston being victorious over Frostburg.
FSU men’s soccer team is now 4-3-1 with the loss to Charleston. The next game will be their senior night at home against Davis and Elkins this Sunday, October 3 at 8 pm.
