On a Binge: 5 Netflix Shows You Need To Watch

Netflix: pretty much everyone has it. It’s the tool that helps students procrastinate or relax after a hard day. Every once in a while, you’ll come across a show that you just can’t turn off. You find yourself being able to binge the first season in a day. Where did all that free time come from? You have no idea. You just know that five hours of your day are gone and you still need to finish that five page paper for your class that’s due tomorrow. Those shows tend to be the best.

While Netflix streams many shows from different networks, sometimes the most overlooked, but the best, are the Netflix Original Series. If you like weird, heart-warming, and sometimes inappropriate for TV but completely okay for the internet shows, this is the list for you. Here are five Netflix Original Series that you need to binge-watch right now.

This show is a lot. It’s a mixture of comedy, gore, and drama. The show follows the Hammond family: Sheila, Joel, and Abby. They’re a normal family; Joel and Sheila are honest real estate agents. Sheila gets sick and suddenly she’s un-dead. The plot then turns to the family trying to keep things normal but also keeping Sheila fed and finding a cure. If you haven’t seen this show, you definitely need to watch it. Only if you have a strong stomach, though; there is a fair amount of gore. Only season one is available at the moment, but don’t worry – season two will begin streaming in 2018. There will be more Sheila and Joel to enjoy.
