Senior Athlete Spotlight: Softball’s Claire Hanlon

softballSport:  Softball
Most Memorable Moment: I enjoyed getting to participate in Bobcat games/D3 week. Although softball was in it mostly just to watch, it was still fun getting to be apart of something more than just our own individual sports – coming together to have fun as an athletic group!
What I Will Miss Most: I will miss the jitters and excitement I get right before we take the field. The feeling that together as a team we are about to fight till the very last inning, the very last play, the very last out with our whole hearts.
What I Like Most About Softball: I loved that no matter if you’re up or down one play or one hit can change the momentum of the game, so every inning you had to be ready to make a play or have your teammates back.
Advice to Teammates: Softball is a sport where when you lose, you always have the next game in 10 minutes, until you start to run out of next games. So never take a moment for granted and play every game with every ounce of heart, like there isn’t going to be a next game.
