SGA Releases Mid-Year Report

The Student Government Association released a mid-year report on December 1, 2016 at the governing body’s final meeting of the semester. The document, prepared by the executive board, spans 31 pages and reviews the SGA’s actions and progress since the beginning of the Fall 2016 semester.

SGA President Nicholas DeMichele highlighted some portions of the report at the Dec. 1 meeting, calling attention to the constituent work done by senators. “This is work that has come from the bottom up,” DeMichele stated. “These results are products of students coming to their representatives with issues or concerns that we, as an organization, have taken up.” DeMichele characterized constituent work as some of the most “rewarding” progress made by the organization and urged students to continue coming to the SGA for advocacy and assistance on the FSU campus.

In addition to constituent work, the report details student representation on campus committees, public relations efforts of the organization, passed initiatives, financial reports, as well as collaborative efforts.

The report, which can be downloaded in full here, is also available in paper in the SGA office located in the Lane University Center, Room 223.
